Whoever bombarded Rarebit with ideas at fanfaire seems to have started a great trend
Punch and pie?
I paid attention in class, it's just been ten years since I was there and I'm well out of practice :/
So we have four sets of vector frequencies pointing to four different nodes and we just have to figure out how each set relates to its node frequency? So to pseudocode: NF1=f1(560.6091)=f2(1100.4549) NF2=f3(502.7070)=f4(596.3485) and; NF3=...

Here's an image from the cinematic: I tend to think it's Morpheus held captive in the General's base but there's no way to be sure of anything yet.
Next time it happens try double-clicking your tactic button to be sure you're attacking and not blocking. Sometimes roll-outs or other combat technicalities will change your active tactic without being asked to but the icon on your hotbar...
Actually, in a vain attempt to avoid such titles as 'evil overlord of all spelling mistakes', I deliberately didn't point that out. Oh well.
Just so people know; we're Zionites. Not EPN extremists. Our goal is life. For everyone.
You should only ever be doing 1 damage if you are fighting in Hacker Style or if you hit Block after the attack goes through. It's the same for NPCs.
Does anyone have an unmarked copy of that map? It looks handy :) Someone's made it easy for us and put two images in close proximity. We now have two sets of vectors pointing to the nearby nodes and can identify which is which. I'm gonna g...
I really liked the start of this event, it's interesting to see that Machinists react to orders with noteably less efficiency than they always pride themselves on having. The Pill Search portion was less compelling but still clever and loo...
So at some point I realised that instead of staring blankly at the numbers until they made sense I should hit them with some old school algebra and see if that helped. It didn't but here's what I got anyway. The answers are all to six deci...

Okay I'll state where I'm up to explicitly. I think this is the state of progress but there might be people who have gotten further. Node Location: 426, -14, -95 Sai Kung International - Freq 12.4937 Target Location: 833, 153, -970 Kedemot...
You know, this still fits with a theory I voiced at an earlier event on Syntax. Seems to me the General captured Morpheus on his way to 01 and has been keeping him prisoner all this time. He used him to create that Sim but for whatever rea...
I want a pair of these :) My guess would be that they function a bit like Fly in Amber but that doesn't really match the Headless description.. Either way, I'm excited to see the new stuff coming in!
Well, if you'll pardon the cliche, that was very interesting. The simple reason for (original) Morpheus' knowledge is that he was tutored by the Oracle. It's possible of course that there's something deeper and more complex going on but fo...
While I never 'bunny-hop' it's interesting to note that if I use a flip (direction jump) in combat it's because I'm an MA trying to get the tackle on someone first. If my safety is compromised as a Sniper I just HJ out of trouble or root f...
I don't mind it so much as it gives us light to see the Agent by and a suggestion of invulnerability. Rarebit is just amazing with screenshots, I'm constantly being blown away =D
Okay so I tried (376, -10, -151: 4.7832) and (4, 4, 603: 9.5936) in Adelia and got nothing so it looks like 't' might not be consistent either. EndGame seems to have complicated things though and now I'm stuck trying to figure out which se...

This is true, but at least the mechanic itself is new code. I guess thats another way to highlight the problem - even our newest mechanics have to be dressed in recycled appearances. Not that I'm complaining :)

Welcome to The Matrix Online :) In MxO you load your abilities directly into your brain so the place to go is a hardline no matter who you are. In the game world there are a number of Dojos (located in International) but they don't have sp...
With any luck our playerbase will increase thanks to the buddy keys and we'll be able to afford one. The next trick is to bother the guy who's job is to bother SOE. I might be wrong but I think it falls under Walrus' domain, does anyone kn...
Gleep! Heh, but Banshae wins this one for her Irish Agent Act :)

Live for what you believe in. Die fighting for it.
I've found a Siphon 2.0 will usually spawn Data Sentries, security guards and other moderate-risk enemies with reasonable regularity. It may help if you find a high level area to farm in. Go to Downtown and check out Center Park, Creston a...

Rarebit suggested once that it was to stop newbies running around /drunk but I'm pretty sure he was joking.
This is true.. I find the cheaty little advantages NPCs have go toward making up for the lack of AI compared to Players. Even though they can do all these things we can't, we're still able to easily outsmart them. They'd be an absolute dod...
The thing to be cautious of with ideas like this is that spreading unique animation sets amongst the players makes them so much less special when encountered in their 'natural' setting. Rather than making entire fighting styles available I...
Some darned nice shots there Rarebit :)
That's ... horrible.

Let's just say I got real good at Sniper... <.< >.> /invoke concealment
I don't think admin /kill is a good enough solution for Live Events. I can just imagine groups of Data Miners spawning bad guys for Rarebit to kill so they can get free loot. Not to mention a lot of characters don't have that sort of abili...
I think once everything gets back to normal the spawn rate will be just fine. The thing that bothers me is that many nodes seem to spawn in areas occupied by buildings but unreachable to players.
I had a thought the other day; isn't it now possible for someone to bring Data Miner to a live event and seriously mess it up?
I enjoyed reading this Brewko; 1) Your graphics suck :p 2) Why were you snooping PistolZZ?
Well.. it only happens once right? Okay, shoot me for being vain.

How much are you guys paying for these shirts? If it's a popular option someone might want to set up a 'pay for gear' thing to save mucking about with extra tickets.
Wow. The amount of new stuff we've been given lately is astonishing. Well done team!
From the manual: Injury, Healing and Death In the Matrix, you can sustain injury from combat, or from environmental hazards, like long falls. Your injuries lower your Health total, and when your Health reaches zero, you are dead. Zion's te...

Ah yes, I just went and did them myself. I had thought he was referring to the standard 'no work for you' message.
What changed for you between doing the first set and the last one?
Uh, it's the neighbourhood contacts he's referring to. If we ever see the focal three contacts in-game they are animated anyway because they're 'manned'.
