I just go for accuracy, IS regen and defense. I used to use some of those damage clothes for the differing resistance they gave but now I have plenty of accuracy clothes with different resistances.

My favourite loadout was spawned when I was loading up a bunch of abilities with awesome passive bonuses just to see how high I could get my various accuracies/damages/defenses.

I just tested it in game, IS regen was 2-3 a tick when I had a +40% bonus and 3-4 a tick when I had +70%. Seems to work fine to me.
