This is a thread all about b***ing about things that annoy you, get under your skin, grinds your gears, or just plain pisses you off! All in good fun of course.

so...

You know what really grinds my gears... pretty food. I mean come on! Why should I give a crap what the food looks like? Within reason ofcourse, I dont want my food to look like a road kill skunk, but all the fancy pantsy foo foo bull**** that some resturants (big ego chefs) do to your food just seems pointless. The way I look at it is, if they spent the time and effort elsewhere, the food might taste better, and it might also get to my table quicker. Amirght?

anywho, your next. So... vent here! SMILEY

People who drive solely in the middle-lane of the motorway, even when the left lane is empty.

#36300525072 12/01/2008 15:42:01 Re:pet peeves "You know what really grinds my gears"

Being the thru-street neighborhood inbetween the two of the busiest streets in the city, which obviously means after 10pm you're allowed to smash the accelerator on your motor-bike to race down our street like you were drag-racing, awright.

  • People who drive slower than the speed limit and then pull in a little to let you over take ONLY WHEN THEY ARE APPROACHING A BEND.
  • Roadworks during the day and only during rush hours.
  • People who don't wear seatbelts. (you should be perma banned for not.)
  • Alcoholics.
  • Vista's constant nagging for "admin permissions" even though your using the only "admin" account.
  • The bigtime decline in singers being able to sing outside of a studio.

  • Unattractive food. I mean, who wants to eat slop? Even if it tastes good.
  • People who drive way over the speed limit
  • Places where politics and religion are taboo
  • When people drive so goddamn slowly in parking lots
  • People who are always hogging the left lane of the road even when the middle lane is open.
  • People who have never annoyed anyone in their life and are somehow annoying for being so agreeable
  • People who use their blinkers to indicate turns. Sooo unnecessary
  • 10% of people down where Nubious lives.
  • Roadwork at night when I'm trying to get places
  • People who wear seat belts. Let natural selection take place, please
  • People who don't drink
  • XP
  • Singers who can perform on stage making everyone else looking bad.
But in all seriousness:
Finals. And research papers.

People who can't drive, in all fassets of driving. Such as:

  • Speeding.
  • Tail Gating. (ie Someone who was reincarnated from a hemarrhoid in their previous lifeand/or wishes to become one in their next life)
  • Driving below the speed limit in any lane but the slow lane (Which is generally considered the left lane in WA) when conditions are ideal.
  • Driving WAY too slow in the slow lane.
  • People who don't indicate.
  • People who blare their horn at me when I am going the speed limit cause they want me to go faster
  • People who don't use slip lanes properly and drive their car half in half out of the lane ("Pacmaning" the dotted line) all the way up until they turn, thus holding up all traffic that is in the passing lane.
  • People who always have their high beam headlights on.
  • People who try to drive forward into a parking bay that you obviously have to reverse parallel park into then spend upwards of 10 minutes trying to adjust themselves into the bay.
  • People who have so little spacial awareness that you would feel safer if Hellen Keller were at the wheel of their car.

14-15 year olds who think they're gangsta's.

People who don't put their trolleys in the designated bays at shopping centres and instead leave them lying all over the place and/or among the landscaping.

Stupid people at restaurants who have no idea how cooking is actually done (Such as complaining that their extra well done steak took over 20 minutes to get to them or complaining their blue steak is undercooked).

#36300525327 12/02/2008 10:21:54 Re:pet peeves "You know what really grinds my gears"

Overly dumb people.

People who don't use comma's in sentences.

People who take 5 minutes to describe everything. "I got up this morning, and felt quite thirsty so decided upon myself that a nice cup of tea would be a good idea. of course, when I got to the kitchen it appeared that I was out of milk, so off I went to tecso's where I ran into my old friend Gweneth in the middle of the dairy isle. It turns out she was only there to buy milk as well, would you believe it?" translation: "I met Gweneth when I bought some milk today"

People who have to speak out loud every single thing they are thinking.

People who seem to think they can't be heard unless they stand 5 inches away from you, and can't comprehend that the reason you are backing away is to avoid getting drenched in spit.

Putting on clothes after you've taken a shower and your hair is still wet.

I'm not a big fan of the letter j either.

Examples:

  • Hot Topics
  • Expresso

It's like nails on a chalkboard.

People that claim that they really are nice people, they just enjoy annoying others and making other people miserable. Excuse me? But isn't that basically the definition of a bad person? Someone who takes pleasure from others misery.

People that think that they, and they alone, have a higher understanding of the whole universe and life in general and that their theory to everything is undeniable fact and won't listen to a word you say if it doesn't line up with that belief.

People that think they are expert Psychologists and understand the whole human race better than anyone else, then act on this assumption to try and tell you who you are and how you feel about various subjects.

People who think Ad Hominem is a valid form of debating.

In general, people who have no understanding of logic or how to apply it to an argument.

People who don't know the meaning of the word Irony and use it incorrectly all the time, same goes for the words Pristine and Nonplussed.

When you ask someone an A or B question and they answer it with yes or no.

Initially you might think or well surely when they say yes or no they are referring to the latter part of the question, the B if you will. Ultimately however, this is not so despite what i had hoped and as such this is something that causes me great frustration - ultimately grinding my gears.
