boxofficemojo.com is reporting Parmaout has set a date for Transformers 2 its currently scheduled to come out July 4th 2009
anyway im psyched for this The first movie was awsome i cant wait for it to come out on dvd just wish there was a blu ray version coming out wich that will be oct 16th for the dvd and hd/dvd
Oh, so Michael Bay is doing it... I remember reading some drama that he wasn't going to do a 2nd because paramount only offered it only one of the hdvd or blueray formats.. I guess they offered him enough cash and he sold out.I really think that you should wait until DVD or find a theater that still has it. It just doesn't compare on tv-links.

<./img>I'm not a massive fanboi of Transformers but I think the movie sucked. If you're going to make a movie about giant robots killing eachother you should actually have that in the movie. The first 5 minutes rocked my face off so much I had to pull it off the wall at the back of the cinema, but then there was *Deep Breath* Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler Filler and more filler before Optimus Prime fought someone, Starscream blew up a couple of planes (That was kinda cool) and then the end of the movie.

I've read a lot of posts over different sites suggesting the same thing, many of them were quite adament that it will be. Insider knowledge or just unreserved hope? I guess half-time will tell.
Transformers has been filmed where I live here in Philly. I can't wait to see me city in the film should be awesome! When there were filming they had these giant sheets and screens blocking people's view from watching them film. They also shut down alot of streets it was funny. They did a good job though cause as far as I know no one was able to get a picture of anything exciting they hid themselves well.

well its big action movie im considering it as one lol but yeah still going to be a awsome one.
I really wouldn't call it an action movie, per se. Its more of a psychologial deconstruction of superheros and what their existance would mean for the course of world history.
But yes, it does have slow motion kicking and heads exploding, so it all balances out to be awesome.
I rolled Watchmen into the whole summer movie theme since technically we only have 2 seasons here in San Diego and I get a little mixed up. Ok, honestly it's one of the big ticket movies and there will be at least one new movie coming out each month until October and starting in March with Watchmen. Good times.

The graphics on that look outstanding as usual. People can say what they want about Michael Bay but the guy knows how to direct a 'Summer Blockbuster' that people will flock to see. Me on one hand I think i'll wait for the dvd... Wasnt much a fan of the first movie on account that Shia LaBeouf just irritates the hell out of me but Megan Fox... well that pretty much sums any movie up

this is probally my second most anticipated movie next to Star Trek.
I saw the trailer for this couple of days ago on imdb and I have to say that the CGI in this movie look even better than the previous. A lot more in it compared to the first movie.
