Having never liked the wireframe storyline i can honestly say these are the second worse addition to the game behind the stupid wireframe earpiece.
I really cant stand them and am completely disgusted at their inclusion.

While I liked the Intruder(s) storyline and the wireframe was a novel and well explained way of introducing a new villainesque type character. I feel that the wireframe clothing items were a bit of an... odd inclusion. I realise that new items now are basically old models recoloured or retextured, unavoidable really as the Devs have to make do with whats available to them and while an untextured item does look relevent to the story, they just don't fit imo.
That being said, Cervacius is right, you don't have to get them if you don't like them.
What I would've liked to have seen as an FX is a player wireframe overlay like the modified accelerated programs have, but perhaps it wouldn't be possible as the wireframe overlay is most likely part of the same texture it's 'overlayed' on.
Just because I won't get them doesn't make them look any less horrible. Sorry, it had to be said.

Generally when new items get released there is a rush to get them and after a while you hardly see them again unless they actually work in RP clothing or they are useful in PvP. SSR Glasses are better than them buff-wise, anyhow. And a lot more easy to get, too.
Have to disagree with the ease factor there, 10 earpieces and 120 gums take alot more time and players to get than spending 1-2 hours on wright, who can be killed by 3 people (2 with a stretch). I often see them worn at mara c actually.
Also, guess green gi giants are pretty happy about those wireframe items.
Plus they're teh sexeh.
