You remembered?
Also: I think people need to get a bit of perspective. This area could very well be for 'just' PvP and data mining, as much as we'd prefer for it to be grander. Why? Rarebit just made a brand new area! That hasn't been done since the start...
There seems to be some confusion about the Proxies/Archivists. There aren't seven around the Mega City for us to find - that'd require a rebundling of the districts. There is an undefined means to access the construct, but seven Proxies to...

H'mm. Unless Rarebit's just making sure the new area is accessible through an Archivist (and doesn't want to mess with even the Dev-only versions of Richland in order to do so), I reckon he's seeing how he can set up an Archivist. In other...
Nooo! A potentially really interesting mission comes up on the same week I start an office job? I don't want to wait an extra four hours before I can do the mission!
Waaait a minute. It can't be an archive. Why would Rare have added all those benches if it were an archive? We'd never get a chance to sit down if we're flagged! I can't believe they were added for purely aesthetic purposes; the sheer numb...

That's it. I'm never going to Chelsea again. The only problem is, of course, that this new area is going to be so popular that I won't get a moment's peace. Another thing you have to admit is that this is the most creative area we've seen...
Two BChamberlains?! Dev exploits! Either that or the new NPCs will look like Rarebit's test character. Man, that'd set some new records in egotism. Should I be excited 'cos it's Wednesday? I know the Image Retrieval will be awesome, but......
Yeah, and no one deserved more to have a sock stuffed in their mouth. I wasn't even there and it annoyed me.
If you're flying from Europe, it hardly matters which coast of the US you fly to. The plane ticket is slightly more expensive, perhaps, but the cheaper hotels, food & festivities balance it out.

I'd go so far as to say that the whole area is now off-limits to the public/Bluepills. It looks like it's in a right state, some of it, and certainly not accessible - unless anyone's suggesting the water treatment workers are flown in by c...
You can attack the Terminator: just do so before you use the computer. I attacked it, but I was by myself and couldn't get its health down very far before my IS ran out and it had enough time to regain its health. A group of hackers could...
New poll. They've changed the details - again - and made a completely new poll. Everyone vote again!
I think it's the same description as the others, yeah. I at least remember reading the 'lacking a physical surface' sentence.
Eh, I looked again and now I'm not sure who was in the shack. The guy in the chair was wearing a suit, and looked like either Jack or Jack's dad (though that could still mean it's Jacob - the last Missing Pieces episode showed Jack's dad o...
I need to look again, but I reckon the guy in the chair was Jacob and the guy who appeared at the window was Locke. We had a close up of his eye the first time we saw the cabin, so it'd make sense if they did it again. Locke having a chat...
He doesn't sound British in the cinematics. Maybe an expat? Cheers for the transcript!
Looking good so far! I preferred the name Mobil Ave, though. Still, I can see why you changed it.
I wish I did know. It could just be a temporary name, though. If it's a district rather than a construct, Bluepills might be confused by the odd name.
*Finally works out where the 'Datamine' thing came from.* Oooh...
I was disappointed with the new enemy. I was expecting it to look more like this:

Ooh, the navmesh. So the blue areas are where people can walk and items can be dropped, etc? I wanna see a picture of the level editor!
Bit of a necro, but I've found some more Portal-MxO trivia. Ellen McLain, the woman who does... pretty much all the voices in the Orange Box (GLaDOS, the turrets, the TF2 announcer, Combine Overwatch), is married to the guy who does Agent...
How can people complain about the images we're getting? There's an Image Retrieval every week, and it's clear this new area is a monumental undertaking so it's undoubtedly the only thing being worked on right now - ergo the only thing for...
The database strikes again!
I agree. An independent organisation would be excellent.
How does this work anyway? Aside from paying for our own transport, what else do we have to pay? There are the Fan Faire tickets themselves, and then... do we have to stay in the same hotel? I gather they have discounted prices for the Fan...
I want to know if these screenshots represent current development. That is to say, does this area look now like it does in the screenshots, or were they taken ages ago and Rarebit's just stringing them out for us? If the screenshots are cu...
I was gonna ask the same thing. Give!
*Cries.* Am I the only person who didn't fight alongside Pace? The hostiles appeared in a different room to the one Pace was in and she didn't follow me when I attacked them. Edit: No, evidently I'm not the only one who didn't.

Phew. Lucky I got my request in before demand skyrocketed.
Thanks! I've been looking forward to reading about this mission. So not only do we have confirmation that the Intruder and Mystery Man are one and the same, but apparently the Intruder said that something about Stalingrad was the reason he...
Excellent, a new one. Good work!
Here're mine. They're quite similar (apart from the last one), so you may just wanna pick one if any. Procurator - Syntax . Click for the full versions.

If for no other reason, you have to love the intruder for showing utter contempt for Popper and EPN. Pure class!
I can vouch for the /who areas (regionservers) being completely messed up. The area covered by a regionserver changes based on how many people are actually in a particular place. If there are lots of people, the area shrinks; if there are...
What the hell is this? Why's the General trying to look up our records on Stalingrad? At least he didn't get anything... this time. If he gets hold of my virus, I'll have him for copyright infringement.
It then turns out that Shadow's got inside knowledge and this actually happens next month. *Wakes up from the dream.* Actually, I'm not sure I'd want the cinematics to be rendered in-game. How could we ever have scenes in the Real after th...

Being unable to harm the Intruder through conventional means, we shall now be attacking his ego.
H'mm. This is either going to be genuinely epic, or Rarebit's ego's just shot through the roof.
Virrago wrote: I edit it for grammer, spelling, etc. Would that include changing British English spelling into American English spelling, or do us Brits get to use our language as it was intended?
Ah, an excellent choice! Nice one, Othinn. Always hanging around events, taking notes in the background for everyone's future delectation.
Thanks. Yeah, I think maybe the term 'iteration' got people thinking the Intruder was from the next Matrix. The word 'iteration' is not, however, solely applied to Matrices. For example, Fortran 2003 is a higher iteration than Fortran 95....
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was never actually stated that the Intruder is from a higher version of the Matrix. They discovered that his code was a higher version than the one currently used in the Matrix. All that means is that...
