glad to hear it
try the driver reinstall (remove it completely using DriverCleaner) and let me know how it goes.
Also you'll see in the "display devices" section of your DXDIAG you posted: --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: RADEON 9800 SERIES Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. Chip type: RADEON 9800 PRO AGP (0x4E4 DAC type: I...
First step I'd remove and replace your vid-card drivers. They may have been corrupted. If that doesn't work I'd say you've possibly got a stress fracture in your timing circuit or one of the data tracks. (end result is intermittent and ran...

I'd check it out but the DivX web player doesn't support Vista yet
Ohh Rarebit I'm intrigued by your Sati-Oracle pic with the skeletons... Here's two sketches of phiAU that Trilateral did (Admit it... the man has skillz) ... I'll post the coloured versions when I'm done. Yes, I know they aren't MY drawing...

Well I'm finally running on my new vista Alienware lappy so I can work on this now. My screen shots only work (both formats .JPG and .BMP work the same) when windows is running in desktop resolution. That is they only work when running win...

I used to get the same problem with my nVidia FX Go 5600. Turns out it was the drivers. Please post your DXDIAG as listed in here: *** Read before posting ***
Well in that case... Yo! Enigma! Time to step up! *shakes fist at a lazy machine sympathiser*
It's been over for almost a month! When do we hear the results?
It might not be quite in-game (instead it's a pop-up window), but XFire works well for communication with others inside or outside the game.
Is that pencil scanned and coloured? Or is it GFX tablet in photoshop?

Done. The "How many FREE MMOs do you play" question needs an answer of 0 as well.
I'm sure there's been 10 or so threads about this in here. It's a problem with the drivers.

It sounds like a bad map file possibly. Run a full system check.
Read this and post the info please: *** Read before posting *** It sounds like a DirectX error.
Just to clarify what happens... MxO crashes and creates a .dmp file. Next time you run MxO, the launcher detects the .dmp files and tries to submit them. Once the crash has been reported the .dmp files are deleted. For some reason your fil...
In your MxO install directory (probably c:\program files\Sony Online Entertainment\Matrix Online ) delete any files with a .dmp extention. That will fix the problem.
This is a known problem with the 8800 cards. Indoor lag. The problem is caused by buggy video-drivers. All we can do is wait for the new ones. Let us know if you get it fixed.
Oh Gawd /facepalm The rubbish that passes for "hazing the new guy" these days... Welcome aboard!
I'd recommend a 450W to 500W PSU PCIex and SLI video cards chew the power like crazy Of course you'll need to post your DXDIAG and SYSINFO and an example of the glitches (a screenshot) before we can be sure.
Haha! Awesome. Looks like it was a fun party. I'd live to see Rarebit at a RL party... I'd bet he'd be a blast. And naming & shaming event disrupters FTW!
Help Tip of the month goes to Severcat if that's true.

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to this thread. My laptop was stolen and I lost the email that was sent to me. Try this: Delete the shortcut and make a new one to point to launcher.exe in your MxO directory. I think the current one is...

well it's the usual situation. Managers have all the power and none of the smarts while the techs have all the real knowledge. (phi is a BOFH and proud of it)

PBR errors = Can't load Primary Boot Record Bad news. You want to replace your RAM and HDD ASAP as the RAM is faulty and the HDD is egtting boot sector errors. It might be time to consider that upgrade.
Have you considered optical?
From what I hear about noisy ads... I'm glad my MxO is Wendy's-free zone
There you have it people. The new face of gaming issues with high-powered hardware: Overheating and Insufficient power supply. it's a funny old world

Firstly I would like to start by saying listen to what TSRBradG said, get your upgrade done by a qualified tech who can replace stuff if he has an accident. Now to answer your questions: What is the best video card for MxO? The nVidia 7950...
So THAT's who the email was from. You gotta put your MxO name and why you're sending me the file in the email. I'll check it out ASAP, I had my office broken into and my PC stolen so all my email is web based at the moment.
Also, when uninstalling MxO, remove all the shortcuts created as well.
Sorry about the modem connection question... these *explete deleted* forums only showed me 2 pages of this thread. Install ZoneAlarm then allow MxO access. Installing ZoneAlarm will override the windows firewall and fix any issues it is ca...
Sounds like an overheating problem. Open your case and by carefully blowing make sure all your fans and heatsinks are dust-free. if that doesn't fix the problem then leave the case open and point a house-fan in there.

I'll have a look at your DXDIAG as see what is going on. I'm sorry your MxO experience hasn't been satisfying. Due to lack of profitability SOE had to consolidate servers which meant removing the Europe Server. Don't complain about ping sp...
Last I checked the average size of the WHOLE file is 4 to 6 MB you posted less than 20KB
It's also a lot easier on the RAM and advanced GFX features. MxO is the DirextX equivalent of Quake4's OpenGL stress test.
It looks like you have an incorrect system setting (probably windows firewall) Please post your ENTIRE MSINFO file (DXDIAG not so important for this problem) as explained here: Must read before posting: How to post your System/Network info...

I'm having a look but it sounds like either your RAM or GFX card is toast, or your HDD is getting errors.
Also... what is with names like qqqq1 being allowed? (qqq = 4 q = rude phrase)
