Umm... The Matrix Online is not supported on Windows Vista, which is a Beta release. IE it's full of bugs and not ready to be sold. Chances are the problem lies with the operating system, stick with XP until Vista service pack 1 comes out...

UPDATE: There is no default install directory for new installs of MxO from the downloadable launchpad. It installs in whatever folder you create.
