Really Really Slow Downloading?!

Hey, my first ever post on these boards!

My launchpad download speed is just terrible. I have Windows firewall turned off, and my 3rd party firewall turned off and its still taken me double the time of my friends download and we are downloading the same thing!!!

As we speak mine is only 75% and his was done like 20 minutes ago!

do you have norton antivirus running? I've found that it sometimes causes issues.

Thanks Antitux. Norton specifically, but any Antivirus could definitely cause slow download times, and I would recommend you make sure any you have installed is disabled.

Are you both on the same conection? if not your connection is probably slowwer.

If you are on the same connection, you computer is probably slowwer.

You didn't really tell us much. Might as well ask "Why am I happy and my friend sad?"
