I can't think of any automated way to mirror a site, but there probably is a script or program somewhere that can trawl a site, copy its contents and generate the necessary new links. That wouldn't work with something like a forum, though,...

I need to work out who to contact with a serious request for the forum database (minus restricted posts and account passwords, of course). There's no way we can archive everything by hand.

I may take a look at Jumpgate Evolution, and I guess Stargate Worlds may still be an option. If neither of them, I won't be in any other MMO.
