The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Wednesday, October 4, 2006

As awesome as it looks i couldnt help but expect more from this patch. I dunno, there still seems to be some exploits in need of fixing. Theres still a need for new 'quest' content. And theres a definate need for some polishes in AI, Anima...

Heh, theres a lot i'd like to see added/changed in the items themselves. I mean the flame virus has absolutely nothing to do with chapter 1, i'd much rather have seen the green sprite from Morpheus' code bombs. That actually means somethin...

Secondry Mission Music Tracks. Used?

Just been listening through my MxO soundtrack folder and realised something. Something horrible. Something wrong. Something evvvviiillll. The awesome-ness of the secondry mission music tracks (as in the more dramatic, tense, heart pumping...

The Morpheus' Legacy Chronicles: Chapter 1

Wow dude, chill. Audio quality in this context is mostly down to software/voice technique/mic positioning/audio format. Claiming to need a high quality professional mic is a little uneducated... Its a great movie, with some minor faults. I...

The Morpheus' Legacy Chronicles: Chapter 1

Couple of other things, At the begining theres a reference to someones controller calling them. I dont think that's quite right. Controllers are people like tyndall, flood and gray. Operators are the ship/crew guys. Also, and i know this i...

The Morpheus' Legacy Chronicles: Chapter 1

Now gonna add to youtube As for the video, the heavy use of voice work certainly makes it different from what we've seen before in MxO vids. Unfortunately, this can be both good and bad. Voice and Mic quality are absolutely vital. Overall...

Well sorry for apparently not understanding what you're trying to get across. So far all i've got is you want timers changed, you think it will make the items more worthwhile, you think that effect spamming won't increase for some reason,...

Wait, what? You want the devs to remove the little gifts because you think players should have a better reason to run the missions? So there being nothing 'hard', not even rarebit's little 'yay you did it' items, is motivating for players...

Whats 5 minutes wait? Go run a mission, or get a snack or just do something else. You dont have to sit there and wait to re-use your novelty. They're meant as pretty little effects as a reward for experiencing the story. Thats what they ar...

But these are story-breaking 'fun' items, as such they should have restrictions on spamming. Which the timers do.

I for one am perfectly happy with the way the archive rewards work atm, the timers are there for a fully justified reason and i have to agree with it.

Agreed. I think trying to work around an organised system, while perfectly good in intention, should not be the be all and end all of decision making. In this case the twins both fit perfectly into the story, the motivations and not to men...

Chuui's line up is perfect for the mervs. Morpheus, because we all know merv hated morpheus and was the one to originally have him targetted. Seraph, because we all know merv hates seraph and the oracle. It even adds another story element...

Mx0 ·· The balance of "options.cfg" and "useropts.cfg"

Of course editing anything outside of Useropts (even the, weirdly enough purely user manipulated anyway, options.cfg file) is against some sort of rule somewhere. So don't do it.

Ah ok, well for anyone who was curious, the lines that i posted above (the ones Peer and Bazman are using) need to be in Options.cfg since it invalidates the ones you put in Useropts. Simple really.
