My last run to WM a couple weeks back netted me 8 males/9 females (varying stability/purity). Still, there were periods where I would get more fem than male (my char was male, fyi), but overall it balanced well.

Yes they do, specifically from Pathologist down. Howitzer deals with AoE attacks primarily, while Destroyer with AoE debuffs. There's also several AoE abilities scattered throughout the other trees, mostly debuffs and some DoT attacks.
