Just when I thought we'd finally be launching an attack on the Merovingian, we get distracted once again. Figures.
Just a note: If you're handy with the useropts.cfg file, enabling ModelLighting in any form will fix the improperly rendered lighting on character faces. Not a real fix, I know, since the downside to this is that models will no longer be a...
P.S. +5 points for using the word 'troglodite' in a mission.
Glad Merv's back in the picture again. I wonder if we'll actually manage to do something to him this time, instead of getting distracted and letting him get off the hook like always.
Very, very, very good.
Not much of a help, but just thought I'd let you all know that the new 163.44 beta ForceWare drivers released today don't fix a *CENSORED* thing.
My point was it doesn't matter how powerful your machine is, it's a problem with the drivers and the game engine. Oh, nevermind.
It's a problem with the drivers and the game's graphic engine, not your computer's power supply.
Probably not much of a help for people, but since some people have been using them before, the new NGOHQ optimized drivers released today do not improve the situation at all.

A bit of a disappointing end to a very good string of criticals. This one didn't feel much different than a standard escort and kill mission. The intrigue and conflict that was felt in the first four missions of 8.1 was quite tangible, but...
I have the frags to make some Data Scrambler 0.4s. Send me an email and I'll hook you up.
Stupid Vista.

Yep, the loot tables for the N30 AG3NTS are always a Quicksilver luggable, which when used teaches you the recipes for the Quicksilver Gloves and the Quicksilver Pill. It also gives you two Quicksilver Fragments. EDIT: Also, sorry for taki...
One you leave Richland and start exploring Westview, International, and Downtown, you will enter restricted zones, which, as you've already seen, are protected by Agents. You can make the area safe by tagging the neighborhood's Access Node...

Certainly good foreshadowing regarding what mysterious entity was able to kill the Agent (there were three dead Agents in my mission area). I do enjoy the missions that are more like this "investigation" style than just the "go here and ki...

Thanks Aquatium! As for the "Requires" part, I should mention that that is the minimum tool requirement. It doesn't imply that only the tool listed will generate the spawn. I'll clarify that in the OP.

Thanks guys, fixed.
Preface: This FAQ covers the different random spawns you may encounter while mining Data Nodes with the new tools introduced in the Update 53 hotfix. It does not detail the process of data mining or the tools required to do so. There is an...

Phi, that wasn't what I was asking about. :p As I quoted, it was recommended that the lag problem could be resolved by alt-tabbing out of the game and then back in again. I'm on Vista right now and don't want to reinstall XP to test this o...

Problem with that is the game's graphics become entirely corrupted when Alt-Tabbing to the desktop and back. This happens on XP and Vista.

Confirmed - there is no indoor lag when running the MxO client under Vista with the latest Nvidia drivers, though there is a host of other graphical glitches. It's something I can put up with since they're relatively minor in comparison to...
I've been scouring the Internets for more information, and some people are theorizing that the problem stems from a certain "door type" in the game. They are suggesting that certain buildings which do not include these doors do not cause a...

Update, new drivers for Vista are available here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_d...betadriver.html Unfortunately neither these drivers nor the latest beta version of the XP drivers appear to address the problem.
New beta drivers are up at http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_162.18.html
nVidia appears to be preparing a new beta version of the 8800 video drivers. They were up on their site very briefly, but were taken down due to installation problems. Keep an eye on this page to see if the beta drivers are made available...

9mm, the Data Miner abilities still show as Operative abilities in the Code Analyzer. Might want to move those into the Awakened category.
