As many said there is past reasons...it was chosen by devs (well they started the trend) then the events where always there, then everything just developed from there. Also i agree with the best designed area of MXO.

im guessing each item is significent to the relative mission/chapter. (zion general missions = commando hat) so try to work it out, those who have done all the missions.... as for the buffs.....quit complaining there only here for novelty....
