This has quite frankly been the best OSotLG in god knows how long. Some of those changes really are quite substantial. And I suppose I'll be farming those bot-parts - god knows I need the cash.

And, I mirror PBlade's orgasmic response.

In a final note, I demand you actually create a band called 'Binary Boy and the Zero One Changes', at least within the Sentinel. SMILEY

I actually lol'd.

Can't wait! It's like Christmas!

The In-Game Advertising Contest looks fun.

You've made us all happy players. Is access to the white hallways still 10mil a pop?

100 million? Thats... a lot. Even a beta member like myself only have about 500k if not less. :S

Anyways, nice bug fixes and other side of the looking glass.
#36300028831 08/18/2006 18:01:10 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

Looks like alot of interesting content. I may have to reinstall the game and dl the huge patch. On a lighter not, I may have to make an advertisement. Looks like it would be fun.

The keys are intended for crews and factions to bring their money together and share the keys so it isnt that bad

#36300028874 08/18/2006 19:01:17 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Will the new player ads replace the "ad space for rent" type ads, or those that are fixed parts of the world (catchword: Hampton Green)? I'd be less pleased in the latter case, I guess.
Or completely new billboards, not replacing any of those?

I'd be glad if someone answered that.

Oh, and awesome patch (as always, actually) SMILEY

I guess Zero One won't be my private excape anymore, heh.
#36300028906 08/18/2006 20:01:44 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

The more i think about it the more the zero one changes are total awesome, think about it, the premise of that coat makes people wanna go there to get tokens... in going there they'll be confronted by opposing orgs. Maybe even bringing pvp back into the archives!

Now... to get that pattern of tokens/uber item in ALL the archives! SMILEY

#36300028912 08/18/2006 20:19:41 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
I wonder how long it'll be before people get bored of this new content and then moan for more =/

I'm not one for PvP, but even I may have to check out zero one after all this goes through =D. "Box of heads" now that's an item!
#36300028923 08/18/2006 20:28:55 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Hmm, yea, these 01 enhancements are certainly very pleasant, though maybe more for the others than me.´
I've always found the constructs more atmospheric when being there alone... SMILEY

#36300028970 08/18/2006 21:52:05 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Holy God.

I need to sit down.

That is downright amazing. For a guy on a non-hostile server, having Zero One packed with folks is going to be a nice change and an exciting time while I explore this new stuff.

And White Hallways....

And a new beret, and a new coat and an in-game ad contest....

*CENSORED* man. And I haven't even seen the full list of fixes, etc.
#36300028982 08/18/2006 22:19:55 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

Things are always better when we don't know what's going to happen in advance. SMILEY

I'm sure this sounds a little old, but I like it. A lot. SMILEY

#36300029047 08/19/2006 01:05:19 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

Simply brilliant!

Its great to see som much being added, and 01 will finally become a place of action SMILEY (I really glad to see this, for as well as the new item, getting ppl in there was a aim for me)

Best patch in a long time. I do hope the white hallways are added, but good to see you have a back up just incase that patch cant be.

Ad competition! woot!

/formalbow to the dev and full team

i think i just pee'd myself with excitment....i love this more more!!!and the bug fixes!!! (although i saw a few i thought where suposed to be already fixed but we'll say nout they're fixed now eh!).

And with that i say ....... TO ZERO ONE!!!!! muhahahaha

#36300029170 08/19/2006 06:39:34 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

While I am delighted by the many positive aspects of this patch I am dissapointed to see no evident fix for the DE bug or the faction/crew issues that are widespread.

Equally if the door is open to taking money AND experience from players please please please provide alternate methods to efficiently gain both before there is any consideration of expanding its use.

#36300029182 08/19/2006 07:09:42 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Looks like alot of good stuff coming out, i like the new Zero One changes.. Machine Area? thats it?? lol, also no info for doing a critical twicE? I understand xp, but now no info.. makes doing criticals and archives a waste on team.. looks like alot of people need to Solo these now.
#36300029222 08/19/2006 08:26:14 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

#36300029296 08/19/2006 10:07:56 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Excellent!

Have a few Q's regarding white hallways tho.

It costs 100 mil for a ticket to get in.
However...

1) Do you also need 100 positive rep in an org?
2) Once you purchase the ticket, does this mean YOU can go in, or does this also span to your faction/crew somehow?
3) If #2 is 'no, it's just for YOU to get in', then how will it work in factions? Will everyone have to buy a ticket or will it be traded when you want to get in or will it be some kind of 'faction/crew item'

1) Yes.
2) The ticket activates a MISSION that will take you to the White Halls, and eventually to your org area.
3) The Mission area follows current rules: 6 to a team, but you can still boot people and invite others from the team, as well as use Mission Team Recall.
#36300029339 08/19/2006 11:22:36 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
*curses lack of edit button*

If the Taskmaster Beret Zero has the same Attributes as the current Taskmaster Beret, why do we need a new one?
#36300029370 08/19/2006 12:47:05 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
the new one probably acctualy has a level requirement unlike the old one which theoreticaly could be used on a lv1 , the only current restrictions are te no trade rule and the min lv requirement of 40 for 01

also maybe the new beret has been revised as the server side limit on hyperjumping has rendered it completly usless to anybody over lv 35.
#36300029372 08/19/2006 12:52:30 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006

Lots of cool goodies... and a reason for people to come to Zero One again...

And  I've almost got all the grains of sand there counted too ... oh well... SMILEY

But with the ad contest and all I'm guessing it's a big No to faction ads?

#36300029577 08/19/2006 21:33:47 Re:The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, August 18, 2006
Looks like an realy hot patch

But there is one question for the ads.
Becouse massiv displays some ads in the game, and becouse massive is an american firm, and becouse there are some rules, we europeans have these "Ad Space For Rent!" on the billboards.

So, my question is..... why do i had used these many and´s .... erm, no ^^
I mean, will we europeans see these "self made" ads too?

Would be nice to have there an answer

It's a multi-levelled prison and, although bleak, looks very interesting.
