Works great! There do appear to be some shadow issues currently though, based on the camera position when shadows are on high, they change direction. Putting them on medium fixes that however.

So, 6 months after i originally posted this thread. We still have no fix. I think its about time SOE puts a warning label on mxo that says " WARNING : WILL NOT WORK WITH NVIDIA 8000 SERIES CARDS, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!"

Tested these new drivers, possible improvement when first opening the door, though that could all be in my head after reading the previous comment about that. Once i get inside it's just as bad. So in my opinion, these drivers fixed nothin...

Probably because the 8000 series sucks and they want to get rid of them to people like us that were stupid enough to buy them. And the 7000 series actually works.

You might want to take the 8000 series nvidia cards off that list. They don't really work with this game.

I've been communicating with Nvidia about this since May, and they still have not fixed the drivers for it. They keep saying it will be researched, but they've been saying that since May and i'm really getting ticked off.

This issue is still not repaired. Have the SOE labs done any additional testing? Their first response was incorrect and this needs to be investigated further. We can't simply keep waiting for nvidia to do something, we could be waiting for...

The first time i installed from the CD's. I reformatted again, and then installed it from the trial version installer.

Latest update: 158.22 do not fix the problem. Havn't tried the 3rd party drivers yet.

I was able to tweak the registry enough so i could get the classic control panel to come up, and allow me to use that option. First i selected frames to render ahead 0, that froze the computer. Then i went forward forward to 10. No change...

Coolbits does not work for the 8800 series, it caused a registry error which i now have to fix... and learned about after i installed it. Ntune supposably handles everything now. I will look into this further i suppose.
