#36300193775 03/22/2007 09:46:22 A Declaration of Independence - Separating Ourselves From The Cypherites

There have long been rumours and statements that we, the dedicated exponents of the Machines, have supported and aided the Cypherites. That we have knowingly assisted in atrocities against our fellow men, that we have abetted terrorists in achieving their aims; Actions we have always strenuously denied. Yet still some persist with allegation.

Let it, therefore, be known that the following is a formal statement from the Machinist organisation of the Syntax iteration of the Matrix.

We do not support Cypherism.
We do not aid Cypherites.
We do not condone the actions of Cypherites.

Cypherites have undermined our organisation, have risked the lives of many for the lives of few, have strived to achieve their goals with questionable methods and this cannot continue. It can no longer be tolerated.

While we, the advocates of Gray, strive to selflessly protect the ideals that safeguard the majority, both Machine and Human, and do so in consideration of consequence; The Cypherites act solely to achieve a personal and selfish aim.

At times we may all wish for a return to the dream world of the Matrix, where life is easier and worries less troublesome, but it is our dedication to a greater goal, a larger purpose, that ensures our altruistic hearts are not tempted by such a fickle and shallow existence.

Yet Cypherites care not for the larger picture, they care not for the lives of the sleeping billions nor for the lives and choices of those who remain awake. They demand the choice to return, yet deny our choice, our conviction, to remain awake. They want their peace at the cost of ours.

While we Machinists are both loyal to our leadership and dedicated to our cause it is our duty to show the moralisitic reasoning of humankind to the Machines. Logic would find no flaw of reasoning in working with Cypherites, but moral judgement, a trait unique to man, provides us with another perspective. A perspective which allows us to take a stand, to draw a line in the sand and state "Enough is enough"
Perhaps in time the Machines may learn the intricacy of ethics and morals, but that will not happen so long as mankind accepts the action of terrorists. We have taken this stance independently of Gray, but we do not do so in disobedience, we do so for the benefit of all, Man and Machine.

The Machinists of Syntax
---

It is my honour to post this.. declaration of independence, if you will.  I was chosen due to the current losses sustained by myself and my faction at the hands of the Cypherites, but the work is one that was created by many of the prominent Machinists on the Syntax iteration and it represents us all.

I humbly request that all Machinists in support of this statement post here stating their name and faction, if they currently have one.  This is not the place for debate on this topic, just a place to band together and show support.

I support it completely, and as my crew mate PhreePhall does not have her own access to this communications hub, I will sign her support as well.

It is true that most machine operatives do NOT aid the Cypherites BUT the Machines themselves don't too.
You: "huh, what?"
It's complicated because you don't understand what I mean. By the laws of the truce the Machines have to obey to them no matter what. Of course, through the truce they are not allowed to think about it and they don't. But it doesn't matter what we, the redpills regardless of affilitation, do, deep inside the Machines want to go back to the Matrix/Zion cycle. But you could say, the Machines already know enough of the human psyche to "subconsciously" let the Cypherites more "freedoms" than they should because those are the humans which support that underlying wish of theirs.

Of course, this has no point of proof but more likely more than enough disprooves. But it doesn't matter if the Machines realize it or not (I think they do, at least the "higher ups"SMILEY the Cypherites are helping them and sometimes I get the feeling that the Machines also subliminary help them.

Either way, this is just the opinon of a pod potatoe.

((P.S.: I take no responsibility for my bad english.))

They agree...in public.

In private, however, in the quiet solitude of their sleepless nights, they all silently beg for the opportunity to remove the leashes of 01, and wreak bloody vengeance on those who undermine their work. Go ahead Machinists, wash your hands of us. But mark my words kiddies, you'll need us before long.

We laugh.

Because we know this changes nothing. The Cypherites are the Machines' dogs. . .no, more like puppets, really, twitching at the ends of their master's strings. After all, their "leaders" are nothing more than a Machine simulacra and a scorned woman who turns to murder for satisfaction. How much easier could manipulation be? Trust me, Podhuggers, they own you.

Oh, and Ioffryd, can I take your message to mean that you will no longer oppose us in unveiling the Truth of the Matrix to all of the Sleepers?

No?

I didn't think so.

Read my first post in this boracast, Shi? It's just a theory, but I guess that's how it really is.

Congratulations, Machinists. You have reaffirmed your useless human vanity and have disregarded the way of the true Machinist once again. A Machinist uses the tools he makes or finds for all they are worth. A Machinist designs his automations to provide for him and it is his everlasting duty to make sure the Machine is in full order. He is a Machinist; he is a Machine. We must be the smithies of our own futures, not the critics of our very allies and pawns.

Well done for exposing such a rift and exploitable cancer amongst us, O Creatures of Pride. I am sure our benefactors will be... Annoyed by this display, at best.

Trim the fat, stitch the gashes, but you have called down the thunder. Your lack of resourcefulness astonishes even me.
