I agree completely Mars. And I was actually thinking about the Kardashev scale when I first read this thread. The Drake equation is a good one to give someone some perspective also.

I dunno, I'm not too keen on the new species idea. But, oh well, I'll probably make something new when it comes out. Let's just hope they put as much into the actual story content and gameplay as they did their character customization tool.
