#36300546842 02/24/2009 11:46:58 Do not go gentle into that good night...

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Fellow MxO subscribers,

It’s time for me to jack out for good. My account expires next Wednesday, March 4. The truth is, I’ve been gone for a long time and I’ve just kept the accounts going with the hope that something would happen. But honestly, this game hasn’t been the same for me in quite a while.

I’ve been here since beta back in November 2004, and I’d like to thank everyone who I’ve gotten the chance to know over the past 4.5 years. There’s way too many of you to name individually, and the ones that I’ve really become close friends with will stay in touch with me anyways.

Overall, this has been by far one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. But unfortunately, I only played primarily for the story and the community, and seeing as the story’s all but gone now and nobody ever really cared about player events due to the lack of canon-ness, I think it’s time to go.

I hope that those of you that choose to remember me, choose to do so for my work with Algorithm: Black rather than anything else. Those two months (build-up + the actual event) was the most fun I’ve had in this game since the departure of the Live Events Team after the Death of the Destroyer event, and I’m glad I spent the money I did to help entertain those of you who cared enough to take part.

For those of you that wonder what exactly I did with A:B, well, I helped Phrack write a good portion of the initial story as well as keep things organized with the rest of the team. In addition, I also wrote the screenplays for most of the cinematics and filmed a good number of them myself and worked with Video to get the final product ready for what we considered “live.” Algorithm: Black still had a good portion of story left to tell, but things happen for a reason and it never got told. There was still one last major chapter to go through that would’ve finally brought things full circle that I had written. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future that story will be completed in the form of a series of stories. I think a good portion of those of you who remained would have found it intriguing.

If anyone wants to keep in touch with me, my xfire is yahweh2517 and you can always reach me there. And who knows, perhaps I'll pop my head in every now and then, but for now, I don't see that happening.

And so, without taking up anymore of your valuable time, I will now unveil all of my various personas:

I wish you all the best..Take care!

#36300546845 02/24/2009 11:53:12 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

A well-deserved bow. MxO's a little darker without you.

Good luck, Knoxville.

Bye, God, we'll miss you.

(Somehow I imagined a little girl's voice saying that, and now I'm all freaked out.)

Take care Arch Yahweh.  Good luck in all you do.

I know we don't talk that much, but I consider you a friend nonetheless.  You'll be missed.  I only wish I RP'd with you more.  SMILEY

#36300546853 02/24/2009 12:17:07 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

Yahweh you have done an outstanding job providing the community with top class storylines again and again. My MxO experience wouldn't have been the same without you for sure. Thank you.

#36300546855 02/24/2009 12:23:22 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

=( I've known you only a little, but you were still one of my top favs for RP players here. Have a good one.

#36300546866 02/24/2009 12:49:25 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

Finally.

#36300546867 02/24/2009 12:52:13 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

Take care, Yahweh... I know we haven't talked much lately, but the Matrix will be a little darker without you.

And that was you as Tinkerman and Brian Gauss in the A:B live-action vids? Great job! Brian came across as a put-upon Everyman who's trying to make sense of what he's stumbled on, and Tinkerman was a wonderfully sneaky sort.

It's a pity we never really got that PET fully rolling, huh?

Oh well, there were some pretty memorable moments from that, too.

Haven't seen you 'round for a while, man, but we always had the good times.

Take care, preacher man.

#36300546952 02/24/2009 17:42 Re:Do not go gentle into that good night...

We never knew each other but I always liked you from the minute I saw your name "Yahweh".  Whoever raised the fuss about your name should have been shot.  I thought it was creative and very original (even though it's centuries old).

And it's sad to see a member for 4.5 years leave, especially now during these troubled times.  Take care.

Shame to see ya go Arch, good luck in what ever you do next.

Best of luck in whatever you end up doing know, Yahweh!

Not sure how much I interacted with you under this handle, but you will forever be one of the people I'll remember most from MxO.
