I suspected Vista only due to the fact that the Vista User Account Control (or UAC) prevents certain file types from renaming themselves, which can cause patchers to hang up on specific files. Alas - If you aren't using Vista, it could be...

Right. It was likely a case of the server hamsters needing to be switched out during maintenance. You can always PM me (it alerts me on my system) when curious to situations like this in the future as well.
