Nothing is currently off with the login servers - I logged in myself to take a look. Could you send a PM my way with your account name? I'd like to check to see if there is anything wrong with the account specifically. If not, we can go through some different solutions!

New to MMORGS AND THIS FORUM.

2 QUESTIONS - MAY BE SILLY AND/OR MAY BE RELATED

i AM RUNNING W/VISTA AND HAVE ATTEMPTED TO RUN MATRIX.EXE AND LAUNCHER.EXE AS admin - but still getting the aforementioned problem opening in a separate window when trying to launch.HTTP Status 404 - /mxo/wblogin.vm

type Status report

message /mxo/wblogin.vm

description The requested resource (/mxo/wblogin.vm) is not available.

Also have a problem with subscribing to station.com - unable to select "secret question" and progress

I'm only making a wild guess here, but...zantarra mentioned they'd "bought" the game, which I'm presuming means a boxed copy.

That "wblogin.vm"...the boxed product originally belonged to Warner Brothers.  When you go to install the game, at one point (after install?  On first launch?)  it tries to open a browser and take you to the Warner Brothers' signup page to create a new account.

I can't remember the details because I know that's old history:  any time that window pops up, I just kill it 'cause I already have an account and I know WB is a dead-end, MXO-wise.

So, sounds like you're running into this problem when it's trying to do that function, the WB Login Page.

To those of you with this trouble:

  1. Am I correct that this is a boxed copy?
  2. Anyone getting this with a different flavor (i.e., download, Station Launcher push, etc.) of installation?
  3. Have you tried another method to install the game?

Devs, let me know if I'm on the right track or careening off the precipice with these folks.

Users, let us know whatever answers you have to the above 3.

And above all, good luck! SMILEY

edit: misread of top thread, minor correction

#36300506965 10/07/2008 10:29:14 Re:Launcher (Failure)

Mine is not a boxed hardcopy but a download (direct2drive).

The above result occurs when attempting to launch with icon or directly launching from file.

Unable to progress on opening station.com (station launcher) because unable to select a  "Secret Question".

Rats.  *shrugs* I'm kinda out of ideas at this point.  Except that you might want to call SOE and see if they can manually fix things for you from their side...
