Oh my. Thank God I've reached the end of the thread; I was keeping the family awake with my laughter!
I will be unable to attend. Blasted university and their firewall...
I'm with Gami and Dare on this one. Any 'laws' written down for RP'ing should be guidelines, not rules. Who are we to dictate how others should behave? We aren't even a unified RP'ing community, as far as I can tell. The RPvP guidelines ca...
You don't include RockyB in that statement, of course.
Just over three hours until the über-party, guys!
Hey dudes! Many Syntaxians and Vectorians opted into the ProTax Secret Santa Project last week. People were matched up randomly, and everyone was sent an e-mail telling them who they had to get a present for. (Some people didn't get this e...
(( Rocky, my respect for you just doubled (though that's not saying much). I thought I was the only one to enforce the correct use of ellipses! ))
Just wanna let you know I will be holding my tryout for Split Infinity Radio at 6pm (GMT) today (Sunday). We'll be holding a little pre-Recursion-party party in the men's toilets in Club Avalon on Syntax! Tune in by bunging http://www.sira...
(( Oh yes. ))
Yay for bumpage! Applications close at 11.59pm (GMT) this Sunday. ( Convert timezones ) All confirmed applicants will receive an e-mail with the name of their randomly chosen recipient.
My first party in months of being unable to play MxO. You bet I'm coming too.
Boxing day as far as I'm concerned - but that depends of people's timezones.
Bumpety-bump-bump! I know I've posted this thread in the Syntax and Vector forums, but I'm sure there are a few people who check this place but not their server forums.
Cheers guys. It was all Tax's idea: I just programmed it and made the site (which is actually just a simplified version of one of my other sites).
TheTaxidermist and Procurator are proud to announce the ProTax Secret Santa Project ! We've come up with a Secret Santa game that everyone in MxO can enjoy. I'm sure you all know how Secret Santa works: register your RSI's name on the site...

The magic of competitive (and non-monopolistic) business.
Oh, you sly dog, you. Are you actually charging $i6,000 for normal code bits? Or do you mean green frags?
Flare was sat in front of the broadcast bay console with her head in her arms on the desk. The scrolling code on the screens around her tinted the whole area and made her usual silver hair look bright green. She’d fallen asleep at the cons...
Flare walked into the broadcast bay just as Procurator was getting out of his seat, obviously having just come out of a construct – he’d never enter the Matrix without her at the controls. Procurator looked a little pleased with himself. ‘...
Procurator started to pick up the pace. The powers that be in the Machine hierarchy had obviously put a great deal of effort into keeping the lesser robots out of his way as he navigated the maze of corridors in the outskirts of Zero-One....
(( The first three parts of this story were posted elsewhere around the start of October, so as to explain my absence from MxO while I’m at university, stuck behind their firewall. All posts after the first three are new. )) ‘This is a mos...

H'mm, I did wonder what was going on the last couple of nights. Glad it's sorted. I shall let the rest of TGS know of your offer!
Brilliant stuff. I can't get in-game for another two weeks yet, so I'll probably miss the missions.
Only for the right reasons, of course.
Dude, I don't know what to say.
Always a classic.
I won't be there, but I'll certainly listen.
Firemouse wrote: erm, you're a little off. we replaced the drug with a BLUE pill. This was to counter the spaming of random people trying to awaken them (reeks of the code bombs). the rest of it is pretty accurate though. I have screens of...
We don't watch films, we watch animations, run by the computer. Which is how our graphics options affect the way hte cinematics look the same way they affect the rest of the game world. The cinematics simply take place in small levels whic...
I'm afraid I can't remember everything that was done in the Machine criticals; certainly not which missions did what. Here's what I remember, though: Agent Gray told us to put our investigations into the Assassin on hold for a moment to de...
The 'him' in that cinematic is Ghost, hanging outside the window behind Merv.
(( I would five-star them as well, as I'm always looking forward to the next instalment, but I've turned ratings off. I wish everyone would. ))

So you have a problem with the extermination of terrorists, say? Given that the Machines do not have the resources to build a secondary Matrix as a sort of 'prison' for Exiles (read: redudant, yet sentient programs), their only option is t...

Heh, good point.
And you show greater trust in a species whose ancestors were less than fish. :-/ El_Lobo21 wrote: The world was built for us. [...] The world belongs to us, not machines. Could you explain your reasoning behind these statements please? You...

The Glitch Society does not work to preserve the Matrix unecessarily. Our goal is to the maintain the Truce and allow both humans and Machines to co-exist. Some of the smarter Zionists busy themselves with research into clearing the sky, w...
You're a legend, dude. I can't play MxO for a while, so this is just what I need.
So, Niobe went to the barge by herself and got herself shot? Stupid woman. I hate her even more now.

He enters the Matrix to save himself, not Sati.
Check DN1. All the 'successful' operatives are listed in the latest news item.
*Laughs.*
*Crosses arms.* You know, you need to get your transmitter array seen to. All your messages come in garbled. :-/
MxO is the first game in which I decided to roleplay, and that decision only really came after the server merge was announced. I'd always had a background for Procurator, and I was in character during live events, but I didn't want to go a...
Don't listen to those No Exit fools and their hallucinogenic drugs. The Matrix is just a computer simulation maintained in the real world, the actual reality. There's nothing more from which to wake up.
Deus Ex is my favourite game, and the plot from that game and its sequal is my favourite story. While there are some similarities between the games and The Matrix, you have to remember that The Matrix was pretty influential. It's not uncom...
I think they knew Zion's location primarily because they built the blasted place. :-/ The whole thing is staged, I hope you realise.
Criticals were activated about an hour ago. I've already done all (I assume) five Machine ones.
I haven't even got any of the new critical missions yet, and I've been doing all the usual things to get them. I don't think they're ready yet. The servers aren't even supposed to be up yet, so expect them to come down again.
It wasn't out at the time I posted. Is now, yes.
Eh? 2.3 isn't out yet. I thought maybe you were refering to a patch within the last few hours, but there's been no announcement and my client isn't updating. We're definitely stil at 2.2. Anyway, there's another thread in this forum with d...
