The hotel was a grand sight… James had never seen one so big… then again, he was only 10. The lights shone so brightly that night in December. To get away from home, to be away with his family… it evoked a feeling in him he couldn’t put a...
The clock on the wall read 8:15 PM. Freelancer sat in his chair and looked out the window. The snowflakes were displeasing to his eyes. He sipped his coffee. The café was empty, for the most part. The patrons that still remained were scatt...
A man, wholy unremarkable, passes a news-stand. A headline catches his eye. He buys the paper and sits down, lighting a cigarette in the process. He frowns as he reads the article. "Don't even know why I bother... this city doesn't want me...
Just got the invite. Shouldn't have any problem making it. It should be... *Shatnerism* ...fun!
Posted this in the other thread, but any parties I go to this year are going to be as Rorschach. Got a pretty authentic looking costume, too.
Well, considering I know how their operation is going to end , I'm not too interested in the progress.
If you've got the desire, then I'm probably pretty patient. Start simple, then build as you go. Freelancer had maybe 1 or 2 iterations before the character he is now, and during that time, I wrote up a bunch of great backstory material tha...
I'll more than likely get it. Looks good, but I've yet to see an AI that actually learns from my behavior, despite what the developers continually claim. And Zasz was mentioned in the article, if I remember correctly, imax, so you'll proba...
Reminds me a bit of "The Incredible Machine". Used to love those games.
I'm essentially always in character on Syntax. Name there's the same as my forum handle: Freelancer117. I'm always up for RP.
Right. At that point, it just boils down to personal opinion, I guess. I don't find 9 out of 10 EA games fun. To me, Mirror's Edge just doesn't look or sound fun.

To be honest, I'm not really interested in this game at all. Haven't been a fan of DICE since Battlefield 2, patch 1.2. And, I straight up just don't like EA.
Update
((The event is still in the works. I'm still working things out, but it's getting closer and closer.))
Just thought I'd let everybody know I'm still around, and I'm still setting things up and getting everything planned out. There was a death in my family this last week here, and it has considerably slowed things down.
The preface has just been posted and can be found here .
When I say "darker, seedier rp", I mean that this "intelligence unit" is black. I'm sure, if things go as I'd like, several someones will die by the end of it.
I sit around the Tabor West hardline every day. This is a given, and it usually happens several times a day, most days of the week. Some of you know me, I'm sure most of you don't. I've been on Syntax for about 3 years now, and I often fin...
I'd be willing to do some writing for this endeavor. Always wanted to explore a darker character outside of Freelancer, I figure this is as good an opportunity as any. Count me in, guys.
Gotta say, that mission went down fairly well. Props to all you guys who were in the hallway. Without you, us members of the team raiding the construct would have been slaughtered.
