Camon Church Suspected of Unknown Outbreak Before Nearly Demolished in Terrorist Attack!

Last night (Dec 27th) Camon Church was not the traditional scene for peace and solitude. Witnesses state there were high levels of an unknown gas leaking out from the church around midnight, and continuedfor an hour before the church was apparently subject to a bombing.

Mega City is known for it's high level of violence and terrorism, in many forms. But have they gone to a new low? The chucrh was reported to be holding several civilians inside, many killed in the explosions, yet there is reason to believe they were killed long before the Church' bombing. An eye witness claims to have heard several gun shots from within.

Police have withdrew from questioning, closing down the nearby area around Camon Plaza. Repairs will begin soon, but not before a thorough check for chemicals or other harmful materials.

A man, wholy unremarkable, passes a news-stand. A headline catches his eye. He buys the paper and sits down, lighting a cigarette in the process. He frowns as he reads the article.

"Don't even know why I bother... this city doesn't want me, and I've grown plenty tired of it, myself..." the man says.

The man gets up, taking a drag on his cigarette before walking off into an alley.

ViralMarauder popped through the Camon Heights central hardline grasping an old newspaper tightly in one hand. As the code of the area slowly resolved he sighed deeply and looked around. He had arrived in time to see the last of the clean-up crew and the police leaving the area, and for some reason there was a sense of dread that he couldn't shake off his shoulders. He uncrumpled the newspaper he was holding and read the headlines on it again, and with a look of anger he surveyed the area. 'So it's come to this again,' he thought to himself, 'Innocence lost yet again, and more people dead...' ViralMarauder looked down at his feet and then returned to the hardline and dialed back to Tabor Park west.

Rarely did the flashing muzzle of a shotgun substitute for a shining light from a spiritual leader. Not often did the call to prayer begin with music spent shells falling to the floor. Hardly ever did the desgined to instill a sense of collective sensory perception replace itself with the striking smell of lingering gunpowder in the air.

Tosuno was an exception.

How many times did an inspiring Biblical tale begin with holding back heathens and the non believer from the house of worship with a curved sword. Interlaced with reflections of a sword weilding maniac flying from the roof to the sacred ground below, slicing limb from limb of those who would oppose the righteous.

Camon Church was not usual.

It was an everyday occurance to read of a terrorist attack in the Matrix. It was routine to learn of a viral or biological outbreak. It was standard to see the images of the recycled bluepills.

It piqued X's interest that Tosuno had evidently returned to the Simulation.

It was of note to him that the outbreak had been so severe that he had seen fit to contain the spread through these means. Tosuno had never really cared about the bluepills, or so he said. If you asked X, it was more of a comfort blanket to himself. One he used to justify his actions to those who would question them and, in doing so, enjoy the fallacy of lack of guilt at the taking of innocent life.

Were these measures really... still... necessary or had Tosuno finally walked over the edge of sanity. If he hadn't already.

"One way to find out." whispered XElite to the wind as he made off from the news stand.

An eventful evening occured at Tabor West, the following night.

Him: Word is, some kind of gas was used.
The other guy: As a catalyst for the explosion?
Him: As a secondary biological agent.
Him: Surely the explosion was to halt further spread of the biological and viral outbreak? To quarantine the Church.
The other guy: Or spread it.
The other guy: Hm.. I gues the old "pastor" running experiments on his congregation would not be unheard of.
And again: An explosion to erase the evidence so far as possible.
Him again: Or propel it into the atmosphere. Take your pick.

And it began much in the same way as it concluded.

Years ago, I was a man, a soldier, and a light to the darkness of many.
I was like any of you, perhaps more. My loyalty, unwaivering. My pride, unyeilding...
Because I knew that, in the end, I would be rewarded for all my sacrafices...

Sacrafice.

My friends, I sacraficed...
My body, I sacraficed...
My love, I sacraficed...
I know much of sacrafice, as we all do.
However, you're no longer standing by my side.
Because I 'gave in', and became something you fear.

Of all my losses, my faith has never faulted.

Over time, I to evolved. With time, came great wisdom, and anger. Strength, and sorrow.
Human have always saught to better them selves.
Now, I've found a way to beat that which no man can defeat.

Death.

You may fight it, and you will lose.
Every one of us was created, purpose or no purpose, choice or not.
I've watched many of you, over time, grow. I've seen you do great things.
Turning yourselves into weapons, to defend what you 'believed' in...
Always, fighting...

I was like you once, a fighter. I always will be.
But how long will you fight before realising, you have little time left to live.
You've spet your whole life fighting, killing others.
And now, darkness comes again.
You all stand, ready to fight, but are you ready to die?
For everything death, there will be  life anew.

Rebirth.

The shadows have eyes. Every whisper you make, we hear it.
Every move you make, we'll know.
So go now, hide. Plan your inevitable failure.
In the end, you will fall.
Just as I have.

Every day, we grow stronger, and with it, another innocent dies.

So come, stop wasting my time.

I offer you no other options.
