Theres role play on the two non hostile servers mainly, not much on vector since it's hostile.

Maybe I'll make one character on each server and test the waters, then stay wherever feels more comfortable.

Hee, very wise course of action. I'm Sieges (or Morraeon) on Recursion, and TheProvisioner (when I'm not Iapawet) on Syntax. I rarely go onto Vector, unless it's for a Live Event or a Hovercraft Battle, but I'm SiegesVH there.

I didn't want to create any contention, I'll probably start off on Syntax (I like the name) and try to find some RP groups there. Thanks everyone for all the help. Once I have a name I'll post it here so anyone interested in recruiting me can find my character.

As a RPer and one who calls Vector my home there is RP there.
Yes, and even at Mara Central.. eh... *silence* I'm going back to earth 2. 
Me being someone that isn't the least bit intrested in RP and comin from vector, there is a fair bit over there. Just need to know who to talk to. I tend to leave the RP people alone, mayb listen in or sometimes clear out everyone and disappear 
There are some people that like to totally ruin RP, me i tend to get the CQ's and thats me done ruinin it 
but there are pacification zones which allow multi org RP without the gankin but as usual people go to the 'populated' and laggy server.
Vector is full of win, just the non hostiles don't relise it...

I hate to hijack the thread, but I didn't see the point in creating a new thread that would essentially be the same topic.
I've been playing for a bit, and I'm really interested in getting into some RP in this game. I'm not the most experienced Rper. I've tried it in WoW, but where as I wanted to rp a very simple soul- a hunter just trying to make a living, etc, I was surrounded by players who all seemed to have vampires as parents! Not really my scene.
So I was wondering if there was a friendly RP group, who would be patient with a relatively inexperienced RPer, I still want to experience the more traditional leveling experience but would love to get into some fun RP... it is the Matix after all. I'm a pretty casual player... if that has any sway.

If you've got the desire, then I'm probably pretty patient. Start simple, then build as you go. Freelancer had maybe 1 or 2 iterations before the character he is now, and during that time, I wrote up a bunch of great backstory material that almost nobody gets to hear, but helps make the character what he is.

Syntax is probably where I see the most RP. Although RP is cool on Vector, because of its hostility it adds an element of danger and there are harsher consequenses for your actions, which makes you a better player IMO.
Also the best thing about this game is that your not locked into one class or org or even apperance forever. The only thing that can't be changed is your name, your gender, and your original level 1 stats.
