Oh, I don't code. ;) I did get the spec for it written up and sent off to Walrus, though. We'll have to see if we can get the web team to bite.

Not as far as I know. I guess it's up to whatever strings Walrus can pull, and maybe...waffles?

Often times in mission areas I'll see a picture frame with some random picture of a person or persons. Are those pictures of real people like the designers who put them in or something different?

Hopefully that still open to feedback zippy.
Support a balanced data miner/tracker tree team mechanic not some simple integrations into all the other loadouts!
Come on, a fresh new style of gameplay with appropriate tree? Screams golden opportunity to me.

Actually, that might be all I've said was 100% sure to happen. Well, that and the luggable detection stuff. The other things, well, I don't know what order I'll do them in and I haven't finalized a design for any of them yet, so, uh... hey look! Over there! As of now there is two version of the enhanced consumables, one that is stackable and one that seems ever lasting. Is it suppose to be like that, are the enhanced silver bullets suppose to be re-useable forever, or is this a bug?
#3630010600811/27/2006 22:15:59Re:Ask the Devs an MXO question v.3
Oh, the ones that are stackable to 20 go away after being used once, the other ones don't. The name of them is both the same, when you try to trade the one thats not stackable it disappears, but it can be emailed.
EDIT* I also don't think Zombie Scourge liked them very much..heh.

Thanks for the response!
Another question: with the new style cinematics, would it have been feasible to use stills of in-game models/backgrounds and manipulate them with Adobe After-Effects (or whatever is used to create the cinematics now)? That way, the game could still have retained (in theory) the 3D/game feel?

How possible would it be to use the models and cityscape from the game in cinematics animated in the manner they are today? This way, the cinematics would at least still be in color and retain a sense of 3D/use of the engine.

Here's a question in the off-chance it'll get answered (or quoted for answer).
I know we don't have a quest system, but couldn't the email system be used in a sort-of quest system? I've been playing 9Dragons and one thing I like is how you gain new missions as you level up or hit other milestones. Couldn't a system be put in place that could email players non-tradeable "golden ticket"-type missions based on leveling up, hitting a certain number of CQ points, etc.? Just a thought.

dude, why does this bother you. if someone comes to the event and doesnt bother it, what's the problem. if somebody wants to come to every event, let them. as long as they arent doing anything to bother the people involved, i dont see the problem.
just because you feel jealous that they show up every time shouldnt be a reason to stop them. they dont hurt the events in any way and they always ask good questions. if i could play more like i used to be able to, i would be at every single event with them just like i used to be. the events are fun, and as long as they arent distracting the event, they should be able to attend every single one that happens.
#3630015698002/03/2007 09:20Re:Ask the Devs an MXO question v.3
well, i mean Rarebit has been doing the events this way for close to a year now, so i dont see why there is an urgent reason to change it all of a sudden. if Rarebit deems that a meeting has a necessity to exclude other orgs, then he has ways to only have members of that org there (teleporting to constructs being the main one). but if he wants to have it in the mega city, to be the most like the matrix, all orgs should be trying to get there/ hear what is being said.
if you look at the movies, such was the case. the perfect example i can think of is in the beginning of the second movie. you have that big zion meeting, but machines come and crash it. or how bout the merv party in club hel where morpheus, seraph and trinity come crash. i just feel it is the nature of the matrix to have all other orgs interested and be trying to find ways to listen in.
like i said, there are ways to exclude other orgs, and i trust that if Rarebit deems a meeting secretive enough, he will do so. but i dont think he is too worried about keeping secrets, when he posts a complete run down of each event on the forums the day after it happens.

would it be possible seeing as the chances for players of getting zen master have been stated on numerous occasions as being in the slim to nothing range, to do a rough balance of it and add it to some mission npcs.
It would be a pleasant shock to come face to face with a Merovingian Zen master, or suddenly be hit with the morpheus knee drop move (not sure of the actualy name)
Maybe the org outposts would be a good place to add it if normal npcs would be too much hassel, just add another traning sim as a lv50 sparring partner with a random martial art loaded. or something along those lines.
hmm, pretty cool idea. i just know i want to see these in game at some time. it seems kind of silly to have full trees that arent being used in any way.
