But but...i don't like people [for the event comment]
Yes, but their just going to travel in a tightly knit back and use AOE heals. So I'll pick off a couple killing blows when I can, but its not going to encourage me to spend any real time in there once its no longer new :/
Well okay.
Hm well if you really want to stand a chance in the new construct then perahps you should get recruiting, more than likely its going to Faction Vs Faction rather than Org Vs Org. And although skill plays a part, it usually comes down to the numbers.
I don't like the PvP flagging rules, often I'd just stand around the PvP and rez people (From all orgs) to save them the lag/risk of crashing when they reconstruct, I never saw the harm in it and have no clue why the devs changed it. Bad, bad idea.
EDIT: Actually I really have to question the logic behind this move. There are many more topics that people are far more concerned over (Agent Spawns on Zion [How about you make it easier for Zion and not fix a MINOR problem for the mechs? 10+ pages of discussion and a conclusion that both sides seemed pleased with and you do NOTHING about it?], MKT's, Hacker Sims being broken etc etc) and they changed this, an issue that really doesn't seem to concern many people and all it really did was inconvenience a lot of players. Seems like a completely pointless waste of dev resources to me.
I can agree with you 100% to the fullest if I had not been asking for it to be complete mayhem once the truce was broken. This is something I have been waiting for since day one. Trust me, bodies will fall and.."Oh yes, there will be blood."
EDIT: (Just realized that **** (bypassing the filter can get you banned-V) minus the "." is changed to "Welcome to the Forums". What a genious move mods! I loled when I read my own post. ))
Oh I have no problems with that construct, I think PvPers need some love and it's nice to see a new area to explore that's not indoors. But some of the bug fixes/changes seem to be completely unnecessary to me and there are more pressing issues to be addressed than rezzing PvPers. It seems like all that change has done is inconvenience players.
Hm, from now on PvP will be dictated by people laying dead on the ground for five minutes before the blue rezzers can get to them. Will this make PvP more balanced? This requires Recursion PvP drama testing. Stay tuned.
But first... /loadlo Sniper/DataMiner; /sneak
*searches for Void*
Oh, and Twaggy, edit your d**n post. We all love to laugh maniacally, but don't break the thread. Put a little hypen in there or something.

I know what you mean. E-mails need to be fixed for a start. You know, so we can see them all and being able attach more items to them would help.
Wait...
Nice twisting of my words Procurator. I said some, like the PvP rezzing change, that seemed unnecessary to me, that's my opinion. I never said I had a problem with the Email change did I? So why are you trying to make it out as if I hate it?
What I do have a problem with, is the PvP Rezzing change, and the fact that agents haven't been scaled down for Zionists but have been for mechs, cause we all know mechs have been getting a hard time with constant spawns over the last 8 months.
1) Rezzing a flagged player makes you flagged (and the player now stays flagged when he dies [wasn't this feature removed in an earlier patch because of staying flagged after being reconstructed?])
The PvP flag should drop long before auto-reconstruct kicks in. If anything, this will make PvP battles more round-like and less fluidly "PlayerB dies, recons/is rezzed and goes back to take advantage of the damage he did to PlayerA before dying." That will still happen due to reconstructing, but at a much slower pace.
Now me, I'd leave the crappy rez ability open for blue rezzing (the one that doesn't restore HP or IS).
2) Agent Spawns still exist, but now they won't attack Mechs and vice versa.
This one, I confess, had me surprised. I was so sure the Intruder would be brought in as a flimsy excuse to remove the Agent spawns, but now, they in fact help the Machine org more. Might as well put in a new Agent ability, Force Flag (memory cost 10, IS cost 50, DPS [wait for Mech zerg]). At least I was hoping for Accelerated Machines to start attacking Machinists.
3) Hacker Sims being broken (I assume you mean the hacking being interrupted frequently?)
I think that was fixed, it's in the patch notes.
What did you mean about MKTs?
Oh, and hurrah for Shadows to have more meaning. Like they're not going to be overused over the next few days. ;)
All in all, I'd have to say this patch is pretty really good for the new construct (the data node opportunities) and the email upgrades. My only real tiff is the Agents being buffed again.
Ok, so I perhaps overreacted and focused on the bad. I think the PvP rezzing was a bit of a step backwards, cause didn't they fix it to NOT be like that in an earlier patch? The sim fix is good, I never said I hated the whole patch (Yet several people seemed to assume that), there were just things that seemed rather pointless (And a bit stupid) to me. And fixing that minor bug that caused Agents to on incredibly rare occasions attack mechs? Where's the Zion love? None of the mechs complained about that bug and they get it fixed yet a 10+ page thread where the two sides actually reached an agreement (ZOMG I can't believe it either) to address the problem was completely overlooked? As for MKT's, well I have been asking for some thrown defense to be added to the hacker tree yet still nothing.
It's not so much that no change was made to the spawns to benefit Zion (Indeed I'm not expecting anything either until Chapter 10) it's that they actually went and fixed a bug to make it easier for mechs.
Anyways, to clear it up.
New Construct = Win Email Change (Though I never had the problem) = Win Sim Fix = Win PvP Rezzing Change = Pointless Lose Agent Change = Not so much lose, but it makes me raise my eyebrows.
Although the argument seems to be dying down, and I'm probably stepping in too late, please keep it civil. You have every right to discuss your personal pros and cons with the new patch, but don't start flaming and patronising others, and please don't post page breaking, maniacle, evil, sociopathic, narcissistic, egomaniacle, insane, power-filled, crazy, dark, twisted cackling.
Pretty awesome patch, seems to have tackled some of the larger, harder, problems that have needed attention for a long time.
Which is actually quite different. I have to admit it felt odd not reading loads of random, obscure bugs and problems getting fixed. Both have their advantages and disadvantages i suppose. It all depends on where the devs wanna focus themselves for the upcoming patch cycle.
One thing did that did surprise me was lack of NPCs leaving the mission area fix, Rarebit seemed to be optimistic about the work being done on that bugger.

The sim fix isn't only a sim fix btw... The agent change just makes me wonder why still no collector of tie clips is added to balance it evenly. I don't need to comment the construct. Having one dev doing all that... I could spend my entire life wondering how tht work and thanking him. PvP rezzing... If the flag drops after autorecon or after the 5 min it's a bad idea. Change the pvp timer to 3 min and this should still give a more dynamic pvp. Then the players can chose to wait before rezzing (like Pylat) or rezz immediately but flag as a consequence. I wonder if you can rez hostile players? Email change is good but until it's backed up I wont go trough my 100 emails to compact them into 10. Spy "fix" just makes me ...
Well I never saw it as a problem, you probly notice Cuty and I just standing around the PvP rezzing people to keep it going and save the people the lag/risk of crashing when they reconstruct. It was never an issue so I don't really know why it was addressed. Maybe people roll differently on Recursion and only rez people in their org (Which is pretty cheap) but I don't know why more dev time was spent basically taking a step backwards.

When that blue moon makes an appearance and I take part in a bit of PVP, there is a lot of the time I am laying there seeing someone rezzing and seeing if they would rez me but they walk straight past me as they are mech/merv And thats Syntax
Not a great part of the patch, but there is a lot of awesome stuff in there to take my mind of it Right, I am off to work on my Master Shadow/Data Miner load ^_^
The manner in which the flagged-recon section is worded is confusing. Let me get this straight:
If you accept a res, you will still be flagged. If you recon and come back immediately, you will still be flagged. That is, until the usual five minute timer wears off.
To not be flagged, you have to type /release before recon'ing or accepting the res?
Oh, s***, I thought the patch was coming out today. Hurghh... That's two days in a row you have failed me, Virrago! I will take note of this. Come, Darth Vader. *exits dramatically*
I love most of what is here. I know it's minuscule, but I liked the AFK message thing. Keeps people from constantly spamming you tells when your AFK. But, still a great update. <3 the email thing.
Unbelievable, Rare builds an entire new construct and there's still complaining that there's no new item, no proper bug fixes, no this, that...
=(
I'm excited. Can't wait till monday. ^.^
Its not that there is no new item, it is that there isn't a real "reason" for us to go to the construct. I love the new PVP rules, I love the bulldog costing 1 memory slot. among other things. But without a reason to go into the construct aside from info, I'm afraid that most people on Recursion won't be there past a week or two.
Blue rezzing needed to go. If you went around unflagged and revived everyone, good for you, however this is what made PvP so tedious and mundane. Wow, I just got a nice kill and CQ. Oh wait, he was just revived 5 seconds later and is shooting me again, and now I can't even get a CQ off of him. It was pretty *CENSORED* pointless, and made PvP battles boring after a few minutes. Now, if teams want to rez players, they have to sacrifice their own behind and it is now possible for an entire team or Org to get wiped out in an area, thus a "victory" can finally be achieved until they reorganized and come back.
Thanks of it in an RP stance as well. If an operative is helping revive your enemy, how does it even make sense that you would just stand there and let it happen? That rezzer is obviously hostile to you as he is helping the enemy.

Normally, I would agree, but the fact that Datamine is FFA makes me believe that it will be used much more often then 01 or any other Construct. Not gonna say it's taking over Mara C, but it will be good to see that area abandoned for a few days.
Also: No construct boss means no new gear/items from the new construct >_<
idea: Its accessable to all levels.
Put one of the former construct bosses in a different section of the new construct.
It would let 50's farm old construct drops, lower levels could natrually progress throughout the whole set, and stuff <.<
or you know...new construct boss with new items plz
edit: And when you ask me why, what happens we see the place, and in a week we're bored. Most people I know don't need info honestly, because there is no need for info once you buy your org key.
So um...
just saying.
Give us a reason to go in there and gank the crap out of our own org+ the others. Plz " />
Well if you are that rich start planning some events! Spread the love, not all of us are rich. You mean you don't want to gank the crap out of your own org?

I'll fight you in mara for rights to plant the flag for Machinists
with regards to the Rez....does that mean a..for e.g a machine can rez zion...with the crappy nob rez...then just attack you and kill you again over and over (thats if you accept the rez obviously) ?

Welcome to Vector
The way i took it was type /release before it and it'll unflag you.
Level 100 Agents who spawn on Zion and EPN players outside of Slums are now Machine-aligned. They will not attack Machinists or Cypherites and cannot be attacked by them.
