I went to the game last night (I live in Buffalo). I froze my butt off, had beer spilled on me, and had a horrible flashback of the field goal from the superbowl that Bills lost years ago (Scott Norwood).

All in all though it was a great game, that kickoff return for the Bills was C-R-A-Z-Y! Did you see that boy cut? Looked like a slower Reggie Bush lol

#36300521292 11/18/2008 09:47:21 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

At least the Bengals Bungles came away with a tie to the Eagles. Managed to extend their non-loosing streak from 1 to 2! Woot, go us! It seems that each week they improve on one thing and get worse on another. Fitzpatrick is still struggling getting into a rhythm with the offense, while the defense is getting much more tenacious as they starting to show some maturity. McNabb had at least one black jersey in his face at just about every snap during that game, especially shown with the numerous fumbles and interceptions thrown.
I still think Shane Graham is a heck of a PK overall, he has misjudgements just like everyone else, but in a post game conference, he said he felt like he had let the team down for letting his field goal sail right of the upright.

All in all, a lot of good games this weekend and I was glad to see the Browns pull off that win over Buffalo. I bet that'll be a heck of a confidence booster for Brady Quinn.

well the jets Stoped perfecetion today SMILEY they played a good game now if they continue to play like they have played i think i may have to change my superbowl pick i think the jets may now may be the team to beat cause they pretty much dominated Tennesse on every end of the field so we shall see  but i think the jets or the titans will be the team in the afc  for the superbowl this year.

#36300523081 11/24/2008 07:32:56 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

The refs in the Chargers game made some pretty poor calls, imo.

#36300523082 11/24/2008 07:36:47 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

Wow the Browns are doing horrible... I got four tickets to the game this week.  Saterday my freind who works at one of the most packed bars in Northeast Ohio tried to sell the tickets off for me. Face value on the tickets were 70 a piece by the end of the night bartenders were trying to sell them off for 100 bucks total for four tickets. Not a single person bit.

Granted it was the Texans but come on I know I was spoiled by scalping tickets in the mid 90s during the Indians highpoint but this is just painful.

#36300524838 11/30/2008 19:36:56 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

Well Titans Wooped the lions no surprise there earlier this week Chris johnson gave me Great numbers on my Fantasy team SMILEY Giants looked good again i have to still Say Those two teams  are the best right now and unless the Jets run into the titans  again in the playoffs it will be a intresting game in the superbowl i think The Giants maybe reapating this year

#36300524865 11/30/2008 22:48:53 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

The AFC east is a mess. The only team to win this week was the (goddamn) dolphins, and they didn't really deserve it. The Bills outplayed the 49ers but couldn't manage to convert in the red zone and the Jets and Pats just didn't have their sh*t together. So now you have a division where the team in last is at .500 and only trailing first by two games.

*sigh* Hopefully the Bills can win when I go to the Toronto game.

Edit: Honestly D*mn is a bad word?

#36300527032 12/08/2008 09:58:04 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

Heh, no Yasu...

GG Bengals Bungles. Second game in a row they've been totally blown out and a very potent offense couldn't find the endzone.

What a year to be a Bungles fan, lol

#36300527050 12/08/2008 10:35:52 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

So I went to the Bills game in Toronto. What a mess. For what was a home game for the Bills there sure were a lot of Dolphins fans from Toronto. It was shameful. At points, and this is before things got bad, there were BOOS for the Bills. Booing! That shouldn't happen at a home game. Even though I'm from the Toronto Area I hope they never get an NFL team.

As for the game, well neither team really played that well but the Bills raised sucking to an artform with JP Losman at QB.

GO JETS!

Woot, my Bungles won! SMILEY

2-11-1, here we go now! lol

In all seriousness, they actually looked halfway decent today. Fitzpatrick seemed to be a bit more collected in the pocket and the Bengals had an excellent day out of Cedric Benson.

well your two wins better than the Lions O.o

Jets won and im even more happy now the Patriots Have a very Slim Chance to make it in the playoffs  and  the jets own the tiebreaker on the Division. also Jeff Fisher is not a well liked man right now here lol what a poor choice to make i watched that replay a few times Kollins should have either run the ball or atleast give in a qb sneak in that 4th and 3 play it makes me start to wonder if we Vince Young Will get some Game time next week if Kollins Strugle.

Yeah im sticking with the Titans/gianst in the superbowl still right now these two teams are the most dominate and they showed it this week why and i think that game will be great im still undecided who will win though if its those to. and i hope Chris Johnson Gets Rookie of the Year he was awsome this year and everyone was questioning this pick in TN on draft day.

#36300531918 12/27/2008 14:18:09 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

Yeah I'ma G-MEN Fan too and that was definitly one of the best regular season games I've seen in my 23 year lifetime. It ranks up there with season finale win vs Dallas in 04 Eli's first win, the Tiki Baber Redskin game to get us in the playoffs; running off like 200 yards 2 TDS and running over Redskins DBs all game (Taylor included RIP), the Wellington Mara Game (36-0 over Redskins after his death), the comeback in the Meadowlands vs Denver a few years back, the comeback at Philly, the comeback in Chicago last year, the 2000 NFC Title Game 42-0 vs Vikings, the Jeremy Shockey TD vs Philly game, the entire 2007 Playoff Run, the 300 yard rushing game vs Baltimore this year, and ummmm now this one for Home Field Advantage in the 08 playoffs. xD

Thats a lot of classic games I mean just imagine being a Lions fan.

#36300533245 01/04/2009 10:38:14 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

as a Patriots fan ive got to go with NE, i doubt that the Giants will be able to redo last years effort, considering it was a controversial few seconds that secured it anyway

however i cant keep up with all the teams due to not being American haha they dont show much of it over in England so i have to try and catch up with it as best as possible, so in my view, anybody could be in to win, but i hope its NE as always, considering we were ripped off last year

That was pass interference and you know it! Not that I'm a Philly fan because the Steelers are gonna stomp Arizona.

Oh I know, I'm really surprised that he got away with that. I saw that and did a facepalm, but they didn't call it.

Poor officiating can ruin games.

But as much as I like to think otherwise, I'm pretty sure Pittsburgh will end up running away with it. But, I'm not a Pittsburgh fan, ergo, not really an Arizona fan either, but they are the lesser of the two evils.

The analysts had said that Atlanta, Carolina, and Philadelphia would run away with it, too. We'll see how it plays out, but it looks like Arizona has been thriving on being counted out in the post-season. My personal favorite was that bonehead Gene Wojciechowski's article "Let's Book Eagles for Tampa" on espn.com. If nothing else, it was satisfying just to see him fail.

#36300536577 01/19/2009 10:10:38 Re:NFL 2008-2009 discussion

This is true, isn't he supposed to be an expert analyst? hehe.

But it's like you stated, anything can happen. To make it to the Super Bowl takes more than just luck, and I read another article on ESPN.com here, that was talking about the match up and what to expect. He makes a good point that the blitz that did well in the playoffs for Pittsburgh may not work as well against an experienced QB like Warner. He's a calm individual, even the face of a blitz and is not afraid to stay in the pocket until a receiver is open.

I guess we'll have two weeks to wait and see. I'd imagine it'll be a good game, if only for a bit.
