First SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=

Interesting... I wonder which rules besides the weather? And where's the ninja hideout?

Fun toys and activities? Wonder what's in stock...
#36300466574 06/11/2008 15:06:55 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
...Not really big for a construct. But look nice anyway.
#36300466575 06/11/2008 15:07:12 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
O.o Nice
#36300466577 06/11/2008 15:08:15 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Hmm
#36300466578 06/11/2008 15:12:26 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008

Floating construct in the sky, awesome ^_^

And the toys and activities will be the new Boxes and Ninjas I guess...
Sounds like we can get some cool stuff in this construct if it is Sati just having fun without having to worry about the rules ^_^

Darkhawk's Gallery | Section 9's Past | Metal Gear?! It's already active?!
There can only be room for one Snake, and one Big Boss!
#36300466579 06/11/2008 15:14:15 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
I assume the insides of the buildings will be open to make it more "spacious" overall in the construct?

Size doesn't matter...

um...  yeah.

A smaller construct would be good actually.  More people in a smaller area = more phun. SMILEY

Lots of water towers in there... wonder if that means anything?

*Hoping Rarebit gives us more bunus pics*

Thank you Rare!  This looks great!  Can't wait phor more!  SMILEY

#36300466583 06/11/2008 15:26:24 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Oh, I get it. It's an excuse for Rare to not have to worry about the usual issues of level design and quality control. SMILEY

I wonder if pvp rules are added. Tight space if it is... I wonder if this construct will be looking at team PvE rather than PvP. Looks fun!

So...aesthetically, it's a cut out of Debir Court, Mara S area? That's cool

Can you give us an idea when we should look forward to it? chapt 10.3 or 11?

If it is being shown in the IRs now, it will be in the next Update which is in 2 weeks.  Unless QA decide it is unfit to be implemented.

Thats what it said when I read it SMILEY

As for using the real mara, can you imagine how the PVP would turn out if everyone could open a Box that kept spwning NPCs that go up to level 100 and stay there for 3 hours SMILEY

#36300466640 06/11/2008 17:20:00 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Hmmm would have liked a bit more variety in the map making heck even if it took more updates to make. Those islands out in the random openness better be hyper-jump able onto. SMILEY That's the first think I thought when seeing them.
#36300466647 06/11/2008 17:37:30 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008

Should be interesting. I'm glad they're using it as a seperate construct - adding npcs to debir court would just junk it up.

#36300466651 06/11/2008 17:42:49 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
looks like a replacment pvp zone instead of mara c itself. Super Smash Bros. MxO style
#36300466655 06/11/2008 17:54:23 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Much like a Transformer or a pre-op walker of the street, there's more than meets the eye here. Rare will do good by us with whatever he's cooking up on this concept.

Floating Cars! Looks very interesting, these two weeks wont pass quick enough. Good Job Rare, Can you tell us what PvP will be like in this area or will it be a No-PvP zone? (( hoping for the no-pvp zone )).
#36300466681 06/11/2008 18:52:16 Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Floating cars and black choppers... wonders if there is anything on those "little islands w/ trees" ..
#36300466685 06/11/2008 18:59:13 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008

Maybe the floating areas are for you to high jump to safety? As when you get the lvl 90 npcs you can jump away?

Definitely adds intrigue...

They have to be useable to be there right? And that would explain why the middle area is somewhat small. As constructs are only able to be a certain size. So why would he put objects that far out if you couldnt use em. That would waste usable space.

#36300466696 06/11/2008 19:20:02 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Maybe there's ways to warp around to the little islands. Like going through certain doors? SMILEY

I miss the black helicopters.
#36300466705 06/11/2008 20:06:29 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
Some of those islands look too far out to be reached by hyper-jump.  I'm betting they're just decorative.

I think they were placed there simply to give the construct a feeling of child-like imagination.  Every other construct has some form of structure to it, but this is a construct created by a little girl.

Imagine being 8 or 9 years old again, and you had the power to create your own virtual playground.  How creative would you get?  Anti-gravity would be pretty high on my "To Do" list.
#36300466712 06/11/2008 20:28:51 Re:Image Retrieval - June 11, 2008
I think they look more like a scattering of lego bricks, kind of like how kids leave things lying around the bedroom when they decide to play with something else.

I doubt it.  The screens we saw within the construct didn't show active pvp.  Could have just been not implemented, but I still doubt it anyway.

We already have Datamine for FFAPVP.

*nods* Besides, there were originally a couple Blackwoods in Debir Court.  They were taking out a long time ago.  I think it was because they were a little disruptive to the gatherings that would take place there.

We have six constructs with regular PvP rules and one free-for-all.  It would be nice to have a construct that didn't flag you for PvP (though you could still use the /pvp command if you wanted).

Yep, it would be nice to have a construct with no pvp SMILEY

Some of the other screen shots Rare posted showed him opening the boxes 'inside' rooms... so ...maybe we can go inside all these buildings, which would make the 'size' much larger than it appears. Hmmmm.
