Something small that has been annoying me as I have seen it a lot:

You've failed to tap a Data Node.
You've tapped out a data node.

Why is one upper case and the other isn't?  >_<

Or Recursion. I had a blast data mining and avoiding the death squads at the same time!

Edit: Besides, without the awesome $info loots, the only reason to even go to Datamine after a week's passed is to get ganked. No thanks.

Hmmm... well, it's not a bad place.  Honestly, I'm not finding it as visually appealing as I thought I would based on the pictures... and it's not nearly as large as I was expecting.. though I certainly appreciate the work that must have been involved and hope it's only the start of bigger and better things.

The amount of info you can earn is quite nice, but I'm sure at some point it's going to have to be nerfed.

I don't mind the forced PvP as much as I thought I would.. even if I still suck at PvP.  It's not as chaotic as I was imagining it would be.

Was just messing around with the upgrades on the FM/UM buffs that came with this patch and noticed that none of the defense upgrade buffs changed in the patch take priority over any Hyper ab active.  Is this intended?  I'm thinking of a situation where, say, a team has an FM buffer and runs one of said abs, but has to ask everyone to drop their Hypers first to gain the buff's benefits while running.  It would just seem rather annoying given that most people will have a Hyper running at any time.

Note:  It also does this when the buffs not of the same defense on either the Hyper or defense buff.  What I mean is this, I have Hyper Sense running along with Viral Shielding.  Viral Shielding only buffs Viral and Melee defense, while Sense buffs Thrown; however, it still considers the Hyper running in priority over the defense buff.  Is this working as intended?  Should the defense buffs work like Enhanced Dodge for example, and take priority over a currently active Hyper?

I meant 1 vs 1

In a duel or 1vs 1  Pvp, Hackers suffer tremendously on their rolls.  The Interlock Accuracy bonus is far in the negatives, because they're a ranged class.   A Hacker should stay out of interlock as long as they can, but still be able to hold their own.  When faced against an MA (a class that is interlock-only), duels become one-sided for a reason.  The only caveat here is the same one in PvP (Network Attacker). 

There's quite a few factors that go into balancing Hacker, and the change they made with this patch is for the better, in my opinion.  This change makes Hackers more effective in PvP, since everyone isn't running Hyper-Deflect all the time.  In a duel or 1 vs 1 pvp, it won't change a thing.  I would lessen the accuracy penalty on all viral attacks other than the ones in Network Attacker, and see how it works.  It can't be more than 5 points, I would think.

Yeah I was thinking the place needed a boss as well, and the reward for taking down the boss should fall above the top tier lootable items in the game because you have to face free for all pvp, random tapping spawns etc...The place is really tough. If you were to make the boss an Assassin clone I wouldn't give the mask as the drop though they would flood the market in a matter of days even if the drop was 1%. The Assassin was also know for his weapons. I'd make the drop (provided the boss was the Assassin or some other guntoting person of uber note) The System magnum, and now before everyone cries only the Mechs can use it...Have variants. There are three variants per sex per boss drop in every hide out, just make 3 versions of the gun..The original mech one and zion and merv hacked versions. The gun isn't so uber it would unbalance (its only 15-15 with a buff) Good construct boss material.

So far I think the new construct is cool. I like the thing, that you need to watch around you for posible attackers or snipers/MKT....and you get a little paranoid lol. And when you run around the corner you never know someone just spawned a Wasteland Monster, and you Zapped.

Are there Luggable's in the new construct??

You was warned before entering the construct that it is a FFA area, so I really can't see why you complain?? Even with the FFA, we still had some good fights in the construct (Zion+EPN vs eveybody else) and that was fun. Total destrcution og the whole organization over this...then our Dev's really have destroyed the game, is that what you are saying??

LOL.  Nope.  Never said it was destroyed for the whole game.  I said it was destroyed "in there."  Although I have to admit it does kinda destroy it for me outside when I see those same people at mara wanting help from those same zions.  Guess I won't feel disposed to help them out any. Kinda changes my whole view of things.   But that's just me.  I'm glad you all like it so much.  And I'm sorry, but I must have missed it.  I never saw any Zion+EPN against everybody else.  All I saw was zion+mech teamed up against all other zions.  They weren't attacking the other orgs that I could see, so yes, I found it very disappointing.  And yes, I was warned.  Guess I just tend to underestimate the treachery of some folks.  My bad.  And no, I won't be going back.

Unfortunately there is a knock on effect and the contradictions do add up, content is out of sync with the story and both are out of sync with the environment - "do you believe that is oxygen you are breathing!" SMILEY SMILEY SMILEY

lol i couldn't open this door though, i don't think its a building your actually meant to be able to get into. Using /stuck didn't do anything, although you are able to get a recall out of it. SMILEY

Can't say I like getting dogged by level 255 agents for tapping data nodes... IN A CONSTRUCT! But, other than that, it ain't half bad, as long as you remember to keep your shield up and get ready to jump at the first sign of trouble. The money's good, and the atmosphere is also good.

It is a bit aggravating, but the spawn frequency seems to vary. I was in there for over an hour my first time and no agents spawned. Sometimes they spawn within 5 minutes. It can be a pain, but it's still good info and a fun place... and I think the FFA / Agents are necessary features to prevent people from macro - bot farming the place.

Can't say I like getting dogged by level 255 agents for tapping data nodes... IN A CONSTRUCT! But, other than that, it ain't half bad, as long as you remember to keep your shield up and get ready to jump at the first sign of trouble. The money's good, and the atmosphere is also good.
It is a bit aggravating, but the spawn frequency seems to vary. I was in there for over an hour my first time and no agents spawned. Sometimes they spawn within 5 minutes. It can be a pain, but it's still good info and a fun place... and I think the FFA / Agents are necessary features to prevent people from macro - bot farming the place.
Yup afk farmers would make a killing from this if they could.

I've still seen some afk farmers, using a sim and a lower lvl scrambler makes it so you don't get the higher lvl spawns. They still die but then they log back on and go afk again once the macro's going.

Datamine is great, but I just noticed the email features finally... wow. It's about time. I can put entire clothing outfits (MA duels, coder clothes, etc) into individual emails. No longer will 2 of my 3 character per server slots be devoted to mules for my main. Yay for 12 items per email and being able to store up to 300 emails!

It's one thing to see people revealing their true colors and targeting their own Org but I think it's pushing it a bit to see people attack their own Liaisons. 

That little gripe aside, this is an excellent patch.  I can't wait to get home from work each day to jack in and play with the new features :)

Datamine is great an all, but jacking in for the first time with my lower level merv, i've just discovered, almost all the lowbie mining areas are basically out in the open on the main road, whats that all about?!? SMILEY

Guess mining in a FFAPVP construct with everyone trying to kill you (most, if not all level 50's) as well as level 255 agents, you probably are highly unlikely to escape, wasn't enough for the lowbies, you had to stick em right on display to be ganked - Narf SMILEY

But all in all i think it's coooooooooooooooooool - smashing job.

lol same here. Same goes for NPC's not leaving the mish areas anymore, that bug was really annoying
