I don't think i've seen the buildings that appear in the skyline.

As we have seen, it was possible to see and even get on the barge before this through exploits, so the actual model has always been there. IMO, all that is being done is the barge will now be accessible either by some sort of bridge (shot from first Image Retrieval) or some sort of new archivist where you can be teleported, and perhaps some new/difficult NPC's to fight for some drops, possibly a new rare drop. There is no way we're getting anything large like a brand new neighborhood or district.
Still cool, though, I'm glad new areas are still being patched up.
It's still awesome, stop trying to be an *CENSORED*.
Uh, read much?
"Still cool, though, I'm glad new areas are still being patched up."
We're getting content, granted it's a giant barge of dirty garbage, but it's content. It's also nostalgia for us veterans. More than enough reason to hope and dream. Rarebit always give us some kind of surprise with whatever content the team throws at us. Though getting it always sucks -_-
By the way, in the background look like factory buildings. Notice the first image retrieval this year was of a broken bridge. I think that the garbage bin and zombiefactoryislandthingie are one district or area, and the factory area is not finished. Thus, broken bridge.

I still can't figure out where that is exactly.
The building in the back in throwing me off.

There is no way we're getting anything large like a brand new neighborhood or district. The barge already existed, yes, and people got to its construct (a stripped down version of the Uriah-Bathary area as we see in the cinematics) through whatever bizarre means. This new development, however, has it in a totally new location.
No one's expecting it to be a large new district, or if they are they're a bit... deluded. How can one (or at most three) men model an entire place the size of Richland in a couple of months? It's not going to be huge. But the barge, river, bridges and possibly the buildings in the background are enough to constitute calling it a district or a construct.
Chapter 9.3 begins with a new cinematic and critical mission on Thursday, 2/14, Plus a new critical mission follows on the next four Thursdays: 2/21, 2/28, 3/6, and 3/13.

Well, hmm. I can't say there's anything which solicits great excitement within that image. New anything is always a great thing, but a bridge to a dung heap seems a little superfluous, at best. I'm sure there's more to it, so my disclaimer is that we don't see the big picture as of yet.
If it's an Assassin tie-in, then I can't help thinking that that chapter is done, and should be moved on from (unless, of course the assassination of Morpheus was staged after all, and this facilitates the continuance of that particular story thread).

- Team Duels have at last been added!
- Players can now roll again (exploit fixed)
- You can now email up to 10 item attachments at once
- Email attachments and $info can now be sent across servers.
- Totally revamped Marketplace has been added which spans all servers
- Veteran Rewards have been added! Type /claim to receive your rewards. Learn more about them here.
- NPCs now correctly have the same 4-second re-use close combat timer as players
- Clothing Stacking exploit has been fixed
My favorites.
Nicely done.

Very Kewl stuff Indeed. That "ICY STUFF" looks exactly like what those Bad *censored* Uric Crystals (when Magnified) from my gout >.< Ouchies!
Shadow SK you got me all worked up there as to what you wrote in there (hehehe...) but then after reading it the second time, I read that It was just all a dream.

I would like to point out that we are looking at a different section of bridge in this picture. If you look closely at the stuff below the bridge it is actually broken portions of bridge/roadway and not docks as seen in the first "epic" retrieval. You can tell by looking at the railings.Noticed this too. It could just be behind where the current picture is taken, but no matter where it is, that means this area has to have decent size with it.
EDIT: and love the expansion stuff. if we had half of that ever implemented, I'd be happy.

*Wakes up from the dream.*
Actually, I'm not sure I'd want the cinematics to be rendered in-game. How could we ever have scenes in the Real after that?
Oh, and one more thing: simulacra.

I'm perfectly capable of reading. There was no reason to point out that we're making it bigger than it should be.I'm just keeping it real, but yes, it is a form of content that does not deal with missions and new clothing (pretty much anything "new" nowadays is just clothing variations), so I will agree that it is sweet to be getting this. Sounds like you're excluding me with the "us veterans" part. I'm just as happy to see this barge fully accessible as anyone, and I hope Rarebit and the team prove me wrong and give us something really worthy, because it is still a "work in progress." I've been here longer than you, kiddo.

Bug Fix or Change and Improvement?

Guess I'm staying

Can't wait. Still don't know what it is at all (new construct vs. new district vs. whatever), but it's definitely something new, and it's not anywhere currently in the city. If you notice, the wall is curved gradually to the right. There are only two places in-game right now with that wall arrangement: the south end of the aqueduct between Richland and Westview, and the inlet in Maribeau downtown, between the Courthouse and the Maribeau Stairwalk. Neither one of those look anything at all like this, with the bridge sticking out or the wall curving back again in the distance on the left.
Based on the current number of people working on the game and based on previous updates we've seen, I'm going to assume for the time being that this is just a construct composed predominantly of recycled content, so I don't get my hopes up. We've had people requesting new constructs with the Assassin as a boss for ages. My guess is that this recycles every bit of world structure already made so far that isn't already in the city itself: the garbage barge, the site of Morpheus' assassination, the zombie power plant, etc.
I'm hoping I'm wrong and that it's a completely new district, and if it is, I'd be even happier if it did use that unreleased content like the power plant and such, but I think that's dreaming a little too much at this point.
Whatever it is, though, I sure am looking forward to mapping it out.

We love garbage. I mean, the most liked item in-game is a toilet seat in the form of a mask. We're the Garbage people. MxO comes home!>_< I dont know what to say there.. But.... Welcome home XD

...the most liked item in-game is a toilet seat in the form of a mask.pfft, I'd rather take the FM1500 every time.
I'm guessing it's a new neighborhood, and I have a funny feeling it might be placed north of Tabor Park. You know how when you open the Atlas and if you look at the map of Richland, there's a strip of space that's shaded like it should be part of the district, but it isn't? I bet they're putting it there.
That is an interesting point. If they had to add it on to the existing world, that would make sense.

Yeah, that is a very good point that slipped my mind... it would also 'square' Richland off too.

Anyway, who else thinks that other area might be the power plant? I think it kinda looks like it is.
What'd be cool is an area that had quests that basically did a quicker, condensed version of the story compared to archive missions. Like a summary. Although I know people hate them, the Unlimits would actually kinda fit in the power plant. That's assuming it's not zombies in there.

Anyway, who else thinks that other area might be the power plant? I think it kinda looks like it is.I asked Rarebit recently about the power plant in the "Ask the Dev's a MxO question" thread and he said the chances of it being finished were very slim. I'm guessing its just places that are currently in the game being re-arranged into a new area.
Looking.........awesome. Maybe they are open the bridges now or we all are getting beta-jumps so we can get the Island![]()
