Awsome Deffinlty would like to get that so is this toing Org Chapter 1.1 through chapter 5 or just doing machine merv Zion chapter 5 if its the second one is there plans to relase somethin for doing from 1.1 to chapter 5

I suppose that makes sense.
   If they're of a limited duration and have long cooldowns like our other effects however, they don't really make good tools for a Disguise or accessory. I would suggest making the duration infinite perhaps?

Oooh, neat. I like the idea that Sykin presented of the reward item going in the glasses slot so that the effect has an unlimited duration...pardon the pun.

Code Eyes work like the previous reward items--They're activated from the hotbar, last for one minute, and have a five-minute re-use timer. No equipment slot required.

Can't we have a 1 minute cooldown timer instead of 5...? Please? That way we can activate it at least 5 times in 10 minutes instead of just twice. :d

THis is a very cool idea. I know ill be one of the many people thatll be grinding those missions for it. Even though archive missions are a pain in the *CENSORED*.

AWESOME!!! I'd really hoped that this would be the reward, and if it hadn't been i'd've definitely posted something up demanding code eyes as a reward later on! My only concern is how this is going to impact on the next event- since the Unlimit are likely to still be around by chapter 6- what's it going to be like if we're all running around looking like unlimits. I presume that to get the clothing item we still only have to do chapters 1-4, I wonder if there'll be a new set of items for 5-8 or whatever.

But, those concerns pale in comparison with my utter delight at this item. Very cool guys- you rock!!

The 300 second cool down timer isn't so good for a 60 second effect. Can't you either increase the effect time to 120 seconds or reduce the cool down timer to 150? It's not like such effects are going to lag out the server any worse than the hacker spam.

Wow, thats real cool, I was really hoping that this would be the chapter reward.

I am quite pleased that these will be added to archive missions as soon as 6.1 hits. I wasnt expecting that.

hey wally.. you know you can activate it from the hotbar but the second before it finishes you can do something like /invoke FlameVirusSelf and you get to use it again without the reuse timer. after the 2nd one j00 gotta wait though. just fyi

I for one am perfectly happy with the way the archive rewards work atm, the timers are there for a fully justified reason and i have to agree with it.

the timers are there for a fully justified reason and i have to agree with it.

And that is something I completely disagree with. The timers are way too long for the little they give out.

Story breaking? In all honesty, who actually cares? This is, at the very core, a game. The key point to a game is "fun." So these "fun" items should actually be that; fun. Pointlessly high timers with a pointlessly low usage time do not make these items fun. It makes them a novelty. One that soon gets old. Not good for the effort put in to earning them, and not good for the wasted development time used up to make them. So the choice is rather simple: revise the timers on the current items, or don't make future items that have equally pointless timers. Preferably, do both.

Go run a mission, or get a snack or just do something else.

You dont have to sit there and wait to re-use your novelty.

They're meant as pretty little effects as a reward for experiencing the story. Thats what they are. Thats what they do. And they're fine.

They shouldnt be reduced to mindless 'fun' running around willy nilly with code flowing eyes, while on fire with a cloud of flies over your head. Not in this game, not in this universe, not in this story.

I never said I did, but I also don't expect an item that takes so much effort to get to expire in the same time span as a sneeze. For what they are right now, they are not worth the time it takes to run 45 missions (at least) to obtain them.

Half the problem here is the development time *wasted* to make such an item with usage and cool down timers that do not make any sense whatsoever from the points of view of the majority of players. This is something the developers should have learnt from the mistakes with the timers on the Awakened items.

Blah blah blah... Not in this game, not in this universe, not in this story.

Then the very thing these items portray should not exist in this game, universe or story, but sadly for you, they do. Code dripping from an unlimit eyes lasts a lot longer than 60 seconds - and there's far more of them to lag out the server while wrapped around with AOE hack spam. If the items weren't supposed to be in this game, universe or story, then quite simply, they wouldn't have been offered up as items in the first place. They were. And as such, now need to be modified to be an item that is more worthy of the effort it takes to gain it.

So I'll ask you, what's 150 second wait for a 60 second effect? Apart from being a darn sight better than 300 seconds.

As much as I hate this item's idea, I agree with you Chuui. For this simple fact, I have yet to do past 3.1 machine archive..
