The Sniper Tree needs a Nerf!!!

Not only that the Sniper range is 1 mile. It's less than 30 meters.
Sniper is ment to be used from a bridge or from a small building. I use it wherever.
Now with a range of 1 mile and dmg of 600 per shot besides that there are abilities that do 1200 dmg kinda looks like Sniper is over powered. It's not. You suck.

1) Line-Up the Shot (On a timer)
2) Firearms Expertise (On a timer)
3) Conceal (On a timer; must be at least 5 meters away from target and not get hit by anything)
4) Attempt the Sniper Shot (extremely long timer)
Basic things required for you to hit someone, consistently, with Extreme Falling Kick for high damage:
1) Interlock
2) Martial Arts Expertise / Click Extreme Falling Kick(since you can put an ability in your queue AND activate Martial Arts Expertise at the same time, they get the same "step")

I declare that EFK and MA in general is too strong and needs to be nerfed!
If you're getting beaten by a Sniper in a duel, here's a few things that you need to do:
A) Get 30 meters from your opponent; that's the range for Sniper Shot.
B) Hit him while you can still see him concealed, any bit of damage will break his conceal.
C) Keep your distance close to him to keep him from going into conceal.

Losing to sniper is REALLY bad. Sry. Sniper is perfect where it is. Its not meant for dueling. Ive seen sniper and rifle loaded together which is an uber LO if used properly. If your taking that much damage you need to change stats, get BR and learn how to IL him faster.

1. If you are a level 50 MA and losing to a Sniper in a duel, you area bad MA. Period.
2. 600 damage? Do you have 0 Ballistic resistance or something?
and as others pointed out, Sniper Shot takes a considerable long time to set up and pull off, and by time you're ready for the shot, your opponent can move away rendering you useless, so it takes time and patience, and a good spot to effectively snipe a target, and it even has a chance to miss anyway.
Where are you getting 600 damage from? People who have good resistance, I usually hit them for 250-300 damage with a Power shot.
Sniper is fine where it is. It's the perfect support class and crowd control.
the main problem is the safety aspect sniper gives. u run out of hte 30 meter range....*CENSORED* r u gonna do? win the duel by waiting until he gets tired and gives up? i think the damage is fine, but the range at which you can do it is flawed. with assassin..u punt..u become unsneaked...ur taken down by about 10 ppl before u can hyperjump and ur rooted by 4 others. with sniper..u snipe...a few people notice you and hj to u cuz no one has a 30 meter long attack...u see it...u hj away. the onli way a sniper can be taken out is if its done by suprise...while assassin, ur jumping into the zerg and hoping for an oppurtunity to hyperjump out which u rarely get. and might i add that it was mave that was doing the crazi damage with the sniper...i also spoke with another sniper and she stated that 600 is the minimum damage she does.
in regards to dueling, the problem isnt sniper alone...sniper alone is relativly weak. its when sniper is used along with another ability that has root. you root your opponent...run behind a dumpster and conceal...pop out..BAM snipe..pop back into duelist mode and finish the jop until you can snipe again. and if you want to see what a sniper can do in a duel..ask mave to load his sniper and duel him. you will learn your lesson fast.

Also, there are many abilities from many trees that do upwards of 1,000 damage. In CR 2.0, that is not uncommon. Pistol Whip from the Duelist tree, for example, can easily do 1,000+ damage.
So I ask you a few questions:
1) You say you're a Kung Fu GM. Do you mix your MA trees to maximize your damage output and increase your effectiveness?
2) Are your damage resistances as high as possible, or at least nearing the 200 range?
3) Do you seriously believe that just because you lose in a duel, the opposing tree needs a nerf?

Sorry, but that's how it's intended. Sniper's are long range fighters, just like in real life. Do you see snipers in the military fight in close combat? Snipers are meant to be away from the fight, supporting covering fire. If they are seen, they hyper jump away and pick a new location to snipe from.
I also use Rifleman with Sniper, so I can take some 1 on 1 combat, however I cannot last against a good MA, or against a crowd of people.

I assume this thread was made out of pure frustration, about a few minutes after he lost a duel with one. Happens all the time.

If a MA is loosing agains sniper/rifleman he dont need to be ashamed. But a sniper loosing MA should be real ashamed. Im not speakin of a Duel, im speakin of PvP.
show me one MA abilitie about lvl 30 which does 800 dmg. even if the opponent has full resistance.
And as sniper u dont need to risk ure life, u just shoot from range and if someone bother u, u can jump away or something like that.
Its way more overpowered than Ballista was before CR2.
Dont try to argument with: "Ma does more dmg."
A MA has to be in close to do that, and not in 30m away! And even if he is, the Rifleman/sniper abis do much more dmg. for less IS.
This has to be nerfed.
There are some players with skill using it, but most of em are just noobs, using it cause its overpowered.

Ho hum.
Sniper WAS nerfed recently! Before the patch that nerfed it we could use Escape And Evasion to run around stealthed until we can Conceal safely, regardless of the damage we take! Now it breaks on any damage at all! >
The biggest balance/check here is the Concealment factor. You HAVE to be Concealed to use Sniper Abilites. You CANNOT MOVE while Concealed. Thus, any idiot could just move out of range, wait for the sniper to attempt E&E to get closer, and run right up and pwn the poor **bleep**. If you can't use this tactic...then you're an idiot.
