Anyone noticed this?

I've been levelling it slowly since CR2.  The first time I did it, I had a bit of cash, so could level it a few times at once.  Since then, I can only do it a level at a time, once after every mission.  However, unlike other abilities, where it shows you what increases with that level, Firearms Expert doesnt.  If you do a few levels at a time, they appear, but one level at a time, they do not.

I don't know if these buffs just aren't showing or if they are actually not being applied for my money, but either way it needs to be fixed

The problem is that the ability only gives you an actual full point increase at intervals greater than each level. Meaning you might have to level the ability 3 times in order to get a full point of change. Hence the first two levels you would see no increase in the abilities function.

There are quite a few abilities that are like this now.

Interesting, quick question if you have a moment...

Is there an intermediate value between points simply not displayed to us and factored in?  In other words, do we not "see" a 1.33 point buff to <insertstat> displayed, but it's actually a variable in a combat situation?

The alternative being we receive no benefit\intermediate value from lvling an ability until the prerequisite number of lvl upgrades in order to achieve a displayed (# point/percent) <insertstat> bonus is completed.

yah. I'm 50 now. went to lvl some abilities. Then looked at the buffs thy gave me at 50. Wasn't worth the 8mil.  I can kick just as much butt having everything lvled to like 25-30. As a guy who has everything lvled to 50.
I understand why you did it that way. But doesn't it defeat the purpose? I mean if it takes 4 lvls to get up to the next stat upgrade. Isn't that the same as saying you can only get it to lvl 25? The difference bettween the 2 is the 4 lvls bettween upgrade means you have to wait longer to get those upgrades. However once u get there its just not worth it....
3% evasion and 3% close combat etc. *shrugs*

For alot of skills I did the same thing... not a massive benefit to leveling things up to the max.

Perhaps increasing these buffs to be a bit more than just 3%... perhaps 5 or 10%
