I took it to mean the combat tactic throw but since walrus posted the influence bonuses (which had 4 distint combat areas: melee, ballistic, viral and thrown) and not personally seeing any buffs for speed or power i have no idea what it is.
It seems bigger than just a melee tactic. Could it to be do with the spy tree?

Thrown weapons I suppose.  In other words, what Spy does.

I would like to know this as well. For example, the Kung Fu style offers points of Thrown Defense, so where do the Accuracy and Damage values come from?

We might want to have a new thread to discuss the new terminology all at once.

EDIT: Nevermind, Thrown Accuracy and Damage come from the Perception and Reason stats, respectively.

Wow.. I don't want to insult you, but it took me all of 4 seconds to figure out that thrown means knifes. :smileyvery-happy:

I thought it was a new term for the grab tactic. :smileyindifferent:

The Grab tactic used to be called throw way back in early beta didn't it?

Green attack = grab attack which, with some MA styles, is a throw attack.

Perhaps thrown is damage done in IL, and melee is damage done in melee free fire? I thought ballistic damage would refer to both guns and knives. We'll find out soon enough I guess.

Would be nice to know.

"Thrown" is the type of damage associated with all trees under the Spy-branch. The same as with "Viral" for all hacker trees, "Ballistic" for all gunman trees and "Melee" for all Martial Arts trees.

Those are the new four basic damage types.
