Interesting,  Underarmor? This should be interesting. Females can now look like crazy ninjas with the black mask and skintight shirt.

By six versions, do you mean six colors? (wow, that question was a little stupid :smileyvery-happy: )

no fix for style stacking?
#34800001057 05/02/2006 21:24:46 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
All sounds good. Just a quick question about the trial though -

FilePlanet Free Trial Begins!
The Matrix Online free trial is available from FilePlanet from May 3 through May 15, 2006.

Is the duration of May 3 - May 15 just the availability of the download or the actual trial itself? I mean, is it still going to be a 10 day trial? If so, would someone be able to get it at May 14, and play until 24th, or does it cap off on the 15th?

Sorry couldn't figure out an easier way to say all that at once:smileytongue:

Me too please! The unlimited e-mails thing helps but I'd like to see the things that I have...
#34800001062 05/03/2006 05:21:06 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
It is still possible to compile the code for the ability "Disarm Traps" however this ability has already been removed from the ability trees and is no longer even useable in game.
#34800001063 05/03/2006 06:10:12 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
I dunno if this was on purpose, but the new clothes are a little odd.  Level 41 dificulty to code the male stuff, level 1 for the female.
#34800001064 05/03/2006 06:22:06 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
I'm hoping there is a really good reason that these new clothing items are only available for a short time. Considering they aren't buffed in anyway it seems a bit uncalled for to remove them completely. Don't you think ?

#34800001065 05/03/2006 06:37:07 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
I think it may have something to do with:  They only paid for X amount of time for "active" advertising (PoBS event).  Not sure how it all works, but that's my guess.
#34800001066 05/03/2006 09:14:09 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
Are you serious????

I loved the point with the FREE trail version to get new players, but
today I saw it is not for free. You need a fileplanet subsribtion for
$7. I can get the game for $2 including 30 days for free.

I think this is not the way to get new players :smileysad:

peace,

CJ

#34800001067 05/03/2006 10:09:59 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread

How about some Enhanced Underarmor?  You want long term promotions?  Put some nice buffs on it and make it drop for a month or two.

NOT IN OUR HOUSE!!

WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE!!

#34800001069 05/03/2006 13:50:33 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread

#34800001070 05/03/2006 19:41:09 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
I don't like these spandex/lycra longsleeve shirts, for either me fem or ma dude. Yeah....that's some very tacky gear.
#34800001071 05/04/2006 07:31:41 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread

You ought to watch the Episode of Patrolling with Sean Kennedy, where he tries on the Underarmor shirt, socks, and undershorts. He looked like a 'ninja' going to bed. >_<

I wonder if in the next update they will introduce trousers (pants for you american folk) of the same brand/type. If they do, it will leave very little to the imagination...lol
#34800001073 05/04/2006 13:04:20 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
These shirts can be decomped...

So the question is when the clothes are removed from vendors will they be removed from the coding tool?

and will they be added as a drop in the world?

Walrus, how in the world can you and SOE say this is a free trial when potential customers are forced to sign up for a useless membership at $6.95/month?  Was this the "legal hiccup" that delayed this free trial in the first place?  If so, I can see why!  This is the old "bait and switch" game.   Whether the customers keep the game or not, they will be paying at least $6.95 for the opportunity to try it out.  That is NOT free!  And that's if they REMEMBER to cancel the account after the trial ends.

Good thing I work in corporate/commercial litigation.  Because I AM going to question the legality of this.  Sure $6.95 is not much money, but it adds up quick if10,000 people sign up for this so-called "free" trial . . .

SOE, you should be ashamed of yourselves.  You should have done a friends and family program again.  At least it was truly free.

Signed.

Really guys, how are people going to feel if your saying theres a free trial thats not really free? Your losing about 3 quarters of your potential buyers because this is NOT a free trial and people do NOT want to spend money on something they might not even like. Not smart SOE.

Then again it wouldnen't be the first stupid thing SOE did.
#34800001077 05/04/2006 15:55:44 Re: Update 43 Hotfix (2) Discussion Thread
For those who haven't read it in another thread by now... The Free trial is subscription-only for the first two days. After that, it'll be opened up to everyone.
Granted, this could have been communicated better, but it's not the end of the world. SMILEY
