I've had the misfortune to have played this game for months and not been really a part of a live event.  I've never met a LE character...even in the choice and consequence event, I had to leave when they were talking about sending emails n bla bla.  anyway, I was wondering basically (especially now after the SOE transfer is all tidied up) how often would you say that the LET is online and interacting?  Also (mainly) are they interacting with players wven when a live event is not goin on?

When I first started playing, the LET was online quite a lot. We've met several times. From public meetings to private meetings, atleast that was back then.

It's kinda quiet now. They show-up on every server now and then. On Kanjo's and Euph's wedding Pace showed up for 15 minutes. I wasn't there but I bet it was nice.

I doubt that the LET will ever be the same as before. They're gone, fired, and they took those moments with them. Ashame really, but with time they'll have to change it. Right now they're focusing on fixing the game, not that I see anything broken, but k.... I just hope that when they're done they'll throw us some really nice events.

Been active with LEs since the End of Beta, and I've only had LET interaction during the Invalesco event SMILEY

Yeah, heard that from more people Globin. Kinda lame honestly. I think everybody should have some interaction with LET from time to time. Question is how...

Well, Agent Pace showed up at Kanjo and Euphraxia's wedding, gave the bride and groom both hugs, and interacted with several players. It was a serious boost to my confidence in the LET.

Well this kinda adds credance to the earleir argument that the LET give preference to certain players, especially when you add this to Kanjo's private consultation with the Oracle!! (see seperate thread)

On I believe the third movie, there is an interview about this game. It's pretty interesting, though a little long.

But they did say that to be meeting a matrix character would be something special and worthy of bragging rights.

In other words, if they just popped up for everybody, it wouldn't be as grand.

However, I do think they only interact with faction members. I believe
many players have forgotten this as it doesn't appear in game, but
there is a total reputation number for each faction derived from the
reps of each member. If this is a merovingina faction and some members
start doing zion missions, the faction reputation is going to go down.
Again only the LETs can see this number and they use it as a standard
for interacting with people. For example, the Merovingian is most
likely to interact with the members of a faction with a high reputation
in his name.

They is what I understand too Wolfees, but as you know, as a member of my old faction, that we constantly had multi teams full of people running Merovingian missions in Resistance. Therefore I would assume that our rep with the Merv was quite high. However, I never had Flood come knocking at my door, and that is even after serving loyally for 7 months. Perhaps its more to do with what the LET team see is going on in Mara Central?

I'm not sure, I'll have to go watch that interview again.. maybe
recognize some of the devs. But its on the special features of the 3rd
movie dvd, and its about 5 minutes long or so.

I kinda wish that the LET of today woudl stop masking themsevels and that we could acculy put them on our buddy list and talk to them. Best moments of the game was getting to talk to LET chracters just threw tells. Athough nothgin beats meeting them in person but still would be nice to at least talk to them. WHY DONT YOU CALL ANYMORE MANIT I MISS YOU!

One word : spam.

I am sure that the LET got flooded with tells. But there should be some system where people could get on their "white list."

#13100004865 11/21/2005 12:31:25 Re: LET activity
Yes, I do belive that some of the players who have been around, have established a reputation within an organization, and not faltered at all should be on a "White list". I know i'd love to have some interaction with the Merovingian. I want to see my blind loyalty and never ever doing any other mission than a Merovingian mission pay off. I remember the Choice and Consequence event with Persephone, Flood, Merovingian, etc. Beautiful thing. The LET really used to be a driving factor in this game and not having seen any LET interaction myself as of late has really shaken my fiath in the whole concept. but, who knows, they could be contacting people and they just have to keep it hush hush. When they do come out though, it's really astonishing. They play the parts so well and you actually enjoy playing your part as well. I'm jealous as hell about the Oracle thing, but if Kanjo and Semi have worked hard enough to get the rep, then they should get to see people like the Oracle. I guess i'll just have to keep doing my Merv missions and hope that i'll get a call from Persephone, Seraph, Oracle, Merv...

((Very
true. I don't get why people don't understand that. We all get
into a tell-hell from time to time. But I bet a billion info that the
devs/LET has a whole new definition for it. Imagine 100 concurrent "Hey
Niobe baby, wassup?"... Nice.))
