Hello everyone on all servers. I am a level 48 and I see other level
48s out there owning and killing the best level 50s around.

Why do I always die?

I tried fighting with Gunslinger, which is the only thing I can win
with, and then Hackers destroy me. I try fighting with hacker
when all the hackers switch to operative, and I can't do anything. I'm
always the first one killed, I can't beat anyone in a fight, and I
always die even when my organization has the numbers. I use
assassin, and people always use area effect hacker attacks so I am
always killed. I've tried everything so what should I do. I
have tried Artillerist, Despoiler, Arbalest, Assassin, Gunslinger, Kung
fu, and Karate.

My unbuffed attributes are

Belief 10

Perception 24

Reason 10

Focus 26

Vitality 16

Someone help me out please.

For the cause of being helpful, you attributes are way to far spread out. I, for example have 54 percep unbuffed. (started with 5, everything i had was placed into percep) Not only that, but you must mix and match different loads to be themost effective depending on your opponent.

Attributes harly matter these days. Put on the right clothes, take a tb and you're a MA.

Nope, you do not suck. It just takes time to learn PvP. Try watching other PvP'ers. Check there load-out etc etc. Even ask them questions about chlothes. I'm almost positive they'll help you.

And just so you know, it isn't rare to get killed as a hacker by a ranged fighter or by a hacker when you're melee. Just watch and learn.

Dunno what u heard, but for MA u need attribute, for hack u dont. A hack who puts on MA clothes will still have a lower roll than an MA, btu and MA who puts on hacker clothes and has full VT can roll as high as any hack.

lets not forget.. the secret to every good pvper.. a tactic boosters
4.0.. and also the atributes dont make a **bleep** difference.. if you know
anything sbout the combat system youd know your 54 perception boosts
your rolls by 4 so that perception on helped when someone rolls 3 or
less under you.. which is how often? use a TB get a faction mate to
buff you and you should be good..

3 - 4 MCT doens't has a big influence. It's based on luck as well. The most important move is the first move. If you're able to stun/powerless etc your target, he's toast.

Yes, off course perception plays a roll, well a tiny little bit. But how big you think that roll is? Hardly none. If you have full focus you can be MA and hacker. If you have full perception you can use guns and be a hacker as well. Get the picture?

Besided attributes we have also load-outs and clothes, don't forget about these...

Allright what I did was change my outfit and switched from my Trolls
Hide and got a super buffed shirt. It has +9 Ranged Combat
Tactics, 20% Health Regen, I think 20 points VD, and a few points of
melee damage. I have loads more RCT than before and now I have
another question.

How many points should I have of Ranged Combat Tactics?

I have +21 right now and was wondering what a good amount of RCT a Duelist should have.

The maximum amount of RCT you can have is 30, with all attribute points going into Focus and with clothing. I personally have 29 RCT, because I now use the Squad Leader's Shirt instead of the +9 RCT shirt.

I'm not sure how much RCT you lose without max Focus, I think like 6 or 7, so without max Focus, I wouldn't recommend being a ranged loadout. Even with my 29 RCT and a TB4.0, I roll a (+249), and depending on the clothing and/or buffs of the other person, I either always hit or always miss.

You could get yourself a Lancet/Needler/Stinger which grants +5 RCT and 7/8/9 levels of Focus. There's also buffed clothing that gives buffs to RCT as well.

You'll be able to respec when the combat revamp 2.0 comes this January, so don't worry.

Keep in mind he may be talking about his 'average' roll, which you can find on your combat screen. You can roll 100 over your average.

Also, if you're 48 then you have 8 more ct coming your way when you hit 50 which will help.

Theres really 2 options in pvp. Dress and loadout for most other loadouts or dress and loadout for a specific loadout. What I mean is you can trash your dodge ranged and go for viral deflect and go after hackers or dress for both types of enemies and trash a bit of rct. If you're having problems with hackers go ahead and dress and loadout with 400vd (or 392) you should see some different results.

When I said (+249), I meant the base roll. Next time you throw a knife, look at the number in the parenthesis. Your actual number can be anywhere from -100 to +100 for that number (I believe). Either way, I could roll over 300, but it's random.

As a matter of fact, you can't ever suck at MxO. Every load-out has his good points. And there is always a other load-out that can kill your load-out easily. Besides that it's all based on PvP expierence and tricks.

So no, he doens't suck. He never did, he never will.

Gosh, I got to level 50 (woot) and now I have cleared any doubt that I
suck/sucked/willeversuckagain. I can make a difference with all of my
loadouts. So now, it's all good. I got my MKT tree and my Aikido
Grandmaster Tree so its all good. I don't suck Krytical, I hope your on
Syntax and I Hope you don't work for the Merovingian.

Having spent all my time on vector and learning from the best i know, i know now i messed up with my perception and i got to wait till they come out with new RSI hacks and go full perception or something but you get used to it, if you want to do something really worth it try setting up trees that can defend you from hackers and you can fight with at the same time, or DR clothing helps with avoiding MKT, if you have crappy offense you will learn to get good defense, find the right clothing and you will be just fine, and being level 50 don't help that much i was pwning level 50s at level 44 i aint any better i just am bigger... and a GM...

and if you want to experience real pvp go to VECTOR, you other guys are carebears. Seriously how many CQs you got!? 4

Yeah,
it's great to see all the hacking AoE attacks on Vector, racking up as
much CQ as possible killing level 40's. I bet half your CQ is from
people who are not level 50. lol

I believe at last count Kryts CQ's were in the region of 30k, so even if half were from lower than 50 i'm willing to bet he'd still have alot more than most people. SMILEY

Krytical is one of the best PvP'er there are on Vector, everyone knows him, everyone repects him and no-one wants to be caught in a 1v1 situation stareing down Kryts gun barrels.

30k CQ, 20k of it came from killing lowbies, camping hardlines, and doing other lame stuff that krytical would do.
So you have 10k left, Still, Vector, you have to PvP, not optional like on Syntax. It does get old, having no one ever flagged here. But, I still roll mad high with MKT unbuffed.

This game is about knowledge, knowing the right builds and knowing how to counter them. ie. If you are fighting an MKT and you load a lot of DR then the MKT will more likely miss, it won't be that "random".

there are ways u can make the fight in ur favour...

but ur base roll for DR could be (+280) which is pretty impressive, then they have RCT base roll of (+235). now u think to urself wot are the chances...

then boof! (+280)299 vs (+235)301 and ur blind, then stunned, then ur CT goes down 40 and he just annihalates you

this happened... pure luck.... numbers... mebbe u might call it one in a million, but the amount of times it actually happens is jaw droppin

PvP is not all numbers, its loadouts, strategy, and common sense.

Also... blinding and stunning are techniques that people use to tip the battle in their favor. If I was using MKT and only had 1 chance to hit the other guy, I would use Subduing Throw to Stun them. It lowers their CT so you can then have the upper hand against that person.
