Information: T-Online Startcenter (sometimes) let launcher not work.

Don´t know it´s in the black book of "the causes why MxO may not work" :
And maybe it´s a problem for germans only.

But in our local community we had over the past months 2 or 3 players who weren´t able to login until the T-Online Startcenter is uninstalled completely. It´s important to check windows software-UI to make sure every component is uninstalled.

Then the launcher works without any problems. I´m not sure but if i remember right the startcenter connects to a proxy-server. Maybe that´s the problem.

Thanks for the info- we have had some T-Online subscribers unable to connect. When troubleshooting with these players, T-Online's support teams had not mentioned anything about a proxy. Are you still able to use the service with the software uninstalled?

I´m really not sure about proxy. It´s a long time ago i´ve been surfing by t-online.
Yes. you can install DSL-divers only somewhere in the t-online-install menu.

Then use .... don´t know how is it called in english windows versions... DFÜ-Connection / Dialup-connection

The trick is how to insert the right username. As t-online customer you get a grey paper with all the connection-information on it.

The following are random numbers

Anschlussnummer ( Connection-No.) should have 12 digits and begin with two  Zeros: 000494135932
T-Onlinenummer (T-online-No.) should have 12 digits begin with 52: 520012123456
Mitgliedsnummer ( User-No. ) should always be 0001

For the DFÜ-Username you got to type withoutspaces, notice the # and the ending with @t-online.de

Connection-No.T-online-No. # [email protected]

The number username should with the numbers above something like

000494135932520012123456#[email protected]

I know this because enough people call me and ask: "How did you say i can log without this crappy startcenter?"

I want to bring this back up because i think this is important. T-Online is still the provider most internetusers in germany pay for. These days we had another one in our community who wasn´t able to get a connection to the authentication-server. Now we all know why and told him to deinstall everything from T-online. He said he has t-online software installed including some crappy stuff like a weird dsl-manager, whatever it does, but uses a router to log into the web. For some reason he thought it can´t hurt to install the software. Well, it does :smileyvery-happy: .

Again we told him to uninstall every software from this provider....EVERYTHING. Yesterday he said he did and still can´t logg on. And again we told him to check his controlcenter if evey component is uninstalled. Finally today he found another component , uninstalled it and the launcher worked. So, dear SOE, here is your new customer.

I bet a LOT possible customers ran against this wall. And now i tell you in your own interest guys, make something what anyone can´t miss. And if someone can´t connect to the game, tell him to uninstall EVERYTHING from this crappy provider.
