I got this ability, thinking that it would add 200 damage and 20%
toughness when I turned it on...but since I have both those attributes
capped for my character, the ability does nothing.  I've tested
this a few times and my damage done with it on or off is exactly the
same.

So, what's the point of this ability if apparel can do it for you?  Maybe I am missing something.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

As far as I've seen, read, test, heard, etc....its worthless.

Someone could probably give you a better detailed answer.

if thoose stats arent capped that it is useless

The ability comes in handy if you choose to wear clothing that shields you from ranged and/or viral attacks.  Otherwise its nothing more than a more intense version of Intensify Damage.

Nothing worthwhile, but it can be of use when your levels are not yet capped.

IMO.

lol, all of you forget the one other important aspect that berserker attack gives, self buff of 20% toughness for 30 seconds, thats a pretty lengthly buff given the fact that iron body only works for 12 seconds and is only 5% higher toughness, and the only other compairable move is aerial takedown which gives a buff of 10% toughness for 30 seconds. So by using berserker attack, you can buff your toughness up by 20% for the 30 seconds, and should you lose a roll and become powerless/stunned, you'll be able to take more of a beating and not take as much damage per hit. For thoes of you who have no clue how the current combat system works, the higher belief you have, the higher toughness you have, which translates into a higher damage absorbtion. So higher toughness = more damage absorbtion, so when somone's sidekick combo does less than 50 damage to you, you'll be able to take one heck of a beating and sustain little damage. So the move isnt entirely useless.

But the main benefit, once you're capped, is that you can have clothes that do other things, as some stated above.

It gives you the option to trade memory space for gear.  Don't want to wear a +melee damage shirt?  Add Berserker, and put on dodge ranged!

I think it's pretty much useless as it wastes IS saving some of your HP when you can use a special ability to roll higher and save you from damage at all while also doing damage to your oponent

If you just want Berserker attack for the toughness boost then you might as well go with Aikido.
