I just don't understand gun combat

Thanks for the advice! I was an MA my first go through, so I'm trying to focus on the gun side this time. I got a couple more levels under my belt, and a nice gun, and I'm starting to feel the love now. Covering fire is really nice, as is...

I just don't understand gun combat

So I think the general answer I'm getting is "You're just not there yet" for guns. Understandable, but a bit sad - MA "pays off" from early levels - simply the fact that your animations change shows you that you're progressing. Guns are am...

[CR2.0 Focus Thread] Operative Bugs

I seem to continuously drop out of my fighting style back in to Self-Defense. It doesn't seem to be related to a particular ability or the like - it's just every so often, mid-fight, I'll notice I'm using the default animations, and my Aik...

Multi-fighting - TBD?

It is. If you select the Operative buff, you get a bonus to melee and ballistic accuracy. It's pretty much inferior to any of the higher level buffs if you're going up the tree, but might be worth it if you're a coder trying to boost your...

I just don't understand gun combat

Edit: Apologies - I meant to post this in the Operative Forum - too many windows. I think that I'm missing something on gun based combat. I've got MA combat down - Interlock, change stances, use abilities, free attack when needed. It all m...

What exactly does the "taunt" ability do?

It's also going to be useful if you are teamed with, say, a hacker and a coder. When the baddies start to shoot them, you taunt, and they shoot you.

Ask Symmetric a CR2.0 question.

I hear ya, JTrace. I see this mostly as a positive, though, since I'm not a dedicated Crafter. The few that are get a beatdown, but everyone else gets a nice boost. It's a common trend in MMOs now - the specialized crafter is being removed...

There and Back again, again: A renewbie's life part 3

In case you haven't been keeping score, Part 1 is Here and Part 2 is There But if you haven't been keeping track, shame on you! ----- I took a nap. It was, I admit, a long nap. Something like two months. I think I needed it - before the na...

There and Back again, again: A renewbie's life part 2

When last we left Firbolg, he was standing over a body, rummaging its pockets for stuff. Things haven't changed a lot in a week. More bodies, more rummaging, and more interesting stuff, to be sure. But you know, that's what it's all about,...

Karate:Berserker Attack?

But the main benefit, once you're capped, is that you can have clothes that do other things, as some stated above. It gives you the option to trade memory space for gear. Don't want to wear a +melee damage shirt? Add Berserker, and put on...
