thats what im saying. But let the questions begin and the Ideas about the hotbars move to the right thread.

Okay, so I finally read the correct email thread. I gotta echo Walrus
-- some great ideas in there, but our schedule is jam packed. And
thanks Walrus for the screenshot!

Oh and V for Vendetta is sooooooo O/T... so... there was a question
about redoing or otherwise revisiting old critical mission content.
We're not supposed to address future content... but... next patch isn't
so far into the future... uh... okay someone ask another question.

whats the spy tree going to be used for in combat in  CU 2.0

Good
question. I really don't know, but I want to open the thread up for
more questions. I'm home sick again or I would pop over and ask Archon
about this -- I know that we talked about this, with no multi-on-one
IL, what does a spy do? But I don't know how it's being resolved.

I can assure you though, everybody here would like spies to be a little
better, i.e. make it a tree that you could level all the way from 2 and
have fun even if you aren't teaming with other people.
#10400133820 12/16/2005 10:56:51 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

I know attribute revamp hacks are classified as
singletons at this time if the players that decided to save theirs for
the revamp don’t use it before the new one is sent out will it not
stack for us?

I
don't think it will; however, I think there are plans to make revamp
hacks a little more readily available on the test server, so we can get
better coverage of how the new attributes work.

Are there any plans to implement dye frags any time soon so we can change the colour of clothing while we code??

ok sounds good...
I messed up my question in typing fast...darn

I meant to ask about the spy tree's abilities in and out of interlock.
#10400133824 12/16/2005 11:06:20 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
Seriously guys, be careful with your wording...

'Are there any plans to implement dye frags any time soon??' is just gonna get a 'future implemenatation, no answer for you'

if you asked: what do you guys think of the colourable clothing idea? i know they had dye frags back in the day...

That'll get a much more informed answer, possibly even going into the history behind the dye frags...

Please lets get us some good answers by asking good questions...
#10400133825 12/16/2005 11:07:17 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

#10400133828 12/16/2005 11:10:05 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
Is the MxO player base growing?  Ok, I know that's a multi-faceted question.  A detailed response might address:
  • The current player base compared to, say, two weeks after launch.  I've read estimates of 43,000 players around launch, but we know many left during the first few months.
  • The current base compared to June/July when SOE took over.  I've seen several players come back recently, so maybe some growth has occurred.
  • Actual numbers would be nice :smileyhappy:

I don't know, we (the devs) have very little to do with the website. My personal belief is that the website is powered by squirrels on a treadmill, and someone forgot to oil a gear somewhere, or something of a similarly advanced technical nature.

O.o o.O O_O ._.  WHAAAT?!? I DEMAND YOU RELEASE THE SQUIRRELS!!! SQUIRLY FREEDOM FOR ALL!!!!!11!!!11eleventy1!!!

Now that tha'ts out of my system, Devs, when do we get to see squirrels, the Twins, and Sarah Kerrigan ingame? Ooh, that's right, three questions in one. Bam!

#10400133848 12/18/2005 07:27:28 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

Do you mean Sarah Edmontons?

And the first post says he only answers the first question in a post.

And you weren't the first to post after him either.

:pJust thought I should mention it...

#10400133849 12/18/2005 07:36:00 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

T_T I didn't get to it, aw. Anyway, I did mean Sarah Kerrigan, and from now on I'm going to use subtle jokes from Blizzard games and mesh them together with Mxo jokes.

There
might be buffs added later on, but when the QA server first comes out,
there won't be any new buffs. The team is working like... things that
work really hard, just to get it up and going for you guys.

this thread of course)

I
think the best way is probably posting ideas on the general boards.
That way the rest of the community can look at the idea and comment on
it, get everyone thinking, and maybe the idea could be refined before
we ever get a chance to look at it. Sending an email or /feedback or
something, it's so closed off from the community; people might be
sending 100 different versions of the same thing and not know it.

Anyhow though, even before I got this dev account, I did a lot of
reading on these forums and there are some great ideas you guys come up
with.
#10400133864 12/16/2005 11:52:29 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

Well since they're just getting thrown out there...

Is there a plan to address reputation issues when the new orgs are introduced, if so can you elaborate as much as possible?

#10400133866 12/16/2005 11:54:25 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
while its a good question freheit, it would have to get into future storyline information. Admiting that they are working on the reputation process would give away information on that they WILL be doing different orgs which they declined to answer in an earlier post....

#10400133869 12/16/2005 11:59:52 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question

At the moment our current combat system means that interlocked duels just go backwards and forwards,

however in real life people move sideways and when they kick they can 'jump'/move to one side then kick not just kick forward and punch forward when you get attacks in.....

and when you lose attacks you go backwards in interlock.....

this dont seem to realistic?

i myself do karate and i teach my students to move about basically not keep going and doing this backward and forward motion......

so will this be changed for the new combat revamp?

im afk for a while got some skoolwork todo if anyone wanna use this then plz do

since the matrix started, has there been any secret content that v few

think there's any more stuff like that hidden around the Matrix?
Actually I'm not sure, there might be some new puzzles in the game

Well I think we'd like to use the LESIG to support
player events more, that's for sure. A lot of things are up in the air
about what we're going to implement. If only there were some sort of
team formed by players, to support player events... like a... a Player
Event Squad! Or something... nah :smileywink:

But seriously, it is super cool when you guys do something like the PET
or the Devil's Advocates event calendar for Recursion. I've got both of
those pages bookmarked at work SMILEY
#10400133875 12/16/2005 12:24:52 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
Will there be any sort of revamp of the Archives? They've pretty much
lost their purpose and most people tend to fight over Mara Central
instead, but if perhaps there was some sort of important artifact there
for players to battle over that was significant to the Matrix (and the
storyline) it would lead players back there. Heck, put some secrets in
there, too.
#10400133876 12/16/2005 12:28:19 Re: Ask the devs an MXO question
thanks for the compliment HC...
I just recently posted on that calender thread cause I just found out about it...I'm gonna try to consolidate them both so that it might become an all-server service instead of just Vector and Recursion.

Good
question, but that's really a future content thing. However there is
something I would like to know. Anybody who can give me feedback on
this, please PM me to keep this thread uncluttered :smileyvery-happy:

Exactly how hard are the Archive bosses? How many people does it take to bring them down? Please PM me your answers.

Arachnis... lol! SMILEY Probably not the right thread to plug it (although
I believe the question was asked earlier if he listens to any of the
stations).

I know it was shameless, but it was a relevant question. I wanted to know if they listened to this station, not all in general. lol

but as I stated earlier, I have nothing to do till next year and I'm stuck at home because of my back.

But don't worry, I won't ask again for a couple...:smileywink:
