This is the same problem you have with Hyper-Jump beta anyone can maek a new character and trade it off...
What was the point of being in beta and getting these special clothes?

It actually may work better for me this way anyways
Excited about the combat system and the hat! And i rofl'd at the care bear stare.
I wish Beta clothing wouldn't be tradeable. There will be no way to know if you're in Beta or not, now.
I would be more excited about the baseball cap, but...
Can we get another copy of the outfit Preeeetty pleaaaase :smileyvery-happy:
lol
Zero

Personally, I have no real interest in a baseball cap... well, other than for the collectors value. That said, I guess it will be nice to be recognized for the (admittedly minimal) time I've spent on the test server.
Also, I'm not even a Beta player, but I think making Beta clothing tradeable is a mistake.
I'm still not completely sold on the CR, but if the features have been locked anyway (hopefully just for the time being) it might as well be made live. No better way to test balance than to have the whole community banging at it instead of the select few who use the test server at the moment. ... once again though, I hope certain aspects of the CR *cough toomuchclickingandlackoftactilefeedback cough* are given another look after it goes live.
Finally, I'll be able to complete the outfit.
... Besides, beta clothing was ALWAYS eventually going to be tradeable.
It's not like this is a new and sudden development.

Baseball cap is a nice gift for some QA testing, although can we have the option to wear it backwards?

n. pl. an·ni·ver·sa·ries
- The annually recurring date of a past event, especially one of historical, national, or personal importance: a wedding anniversary; the anniversary of the founding of Rome.
- A celebration commemorating such a date.
[Middle English anniversarie, from Medieval Latin (diArchived image unavailable: emacr.htmls) anniversArchived image unavailable: amacr.htmlria, anniversary (day), from Latin, feminine of anniversArchived image unavailable: amacr.htmlrius, returning yearly : annus, year; see at- in Indo-European Roots + versus, past participle of vertere, to turn; see wer-2 in Indo-European Roots.]
we are also going to push the Anniversary Event back by one week.
ROFLOL.
Typical.
On the beta clothing? It fits with the "anniversary" idea. Remember November 11th release date? Now they are pushing back an "anniversary" date? lol :smileyvery-happy:
What do they care about beta players, and showing them concern, when they've trashed all of our work in the current game redesign. The beta clothing just fits with their mindset . . .

And a cap? A baseball cap?
I remember Neo running around with a baseball cap 24/7 with his friend Morpheus who had dreadlocks and to his left: Mr. Lock who is in love with Neo and... and... and... and they all wear baseball caps...

Caps are so matrix!
Well, nvm but dont make beta staff tradable.
btw: Do you remember a toon called HyperjumpBetaSeller? Thats the MxO thank you to all the preorder players and now MxO is going to say thank you to all the beta players

Neither do i is there some problem as i would like a jacket aswell, i have everything else apart from the jacket :smileysurprised:
If they could dosomething similar for the dedicated EP players, that'd be nice.
Heh, now I can get that sweet red Beta jacket... hehe....

Can't agree more.
BTW CR2.0 will kill this game.
What are the Devs thinking of? Dosen't a deserted EP server say something to them? Like no-way-Hosay!
/cry
A lot of people dont test anymore because of the huge lag a few weeks ago.
CR2.0 will not kill this game.

The lag had nothing to do with it it was abandoned a long time before and countless threads remarked on it. I don't believe CR2 will kill this game but it is essential to address the UI so that it has a real chance to do the exact opposite which is what we all want surely. Why invite that same reception when it can be avoided?
Let's see....I re-subbed for the month - figured the anniversary would be a good time to give ol' MxO a chance to win my heart back. Bound to be as good as they can make it, eh? So now, ya gotta wonder....
What sort of rocket scientist decided to roll out an un-necessary, controversial, content-free combat upgrade INSTEAD OF content?
This really reminds me of the 'flaming fists of fury' upgrade. Golly, remember the hundreds of threads in the forums, whining, nay, DEMANDING, flashy special effects? Yah, me neither. I sure don't remember dozens, or even oneseys and twoseys, of threads about how "Interlock is da SuCk!, either. MxO is going to live or die because of the STORY - other than that, it doesn't have a single thing that any other MMO has ('cept the great community).
So, I would imagine that SOE's seen a little spike in subscriptions over the last few days. Ya think those (returning) folks were signing up thinking, "Great, they'll really pull out the stops for this event!" or do ya suppose they were thinking, "Yay! New combat system!" Huh.
I think ya'll have driven enough stakes into this game. Just set it on fire now and be done with it. Sheesh.

Strange, because I seem to recall hundreds of threads about how much hackers were overpowered and that they shouldn't even be in the game because they didn't exist in the movies, blah blah blah. Then there were all the problems people had with everyone looking exactly the same because all the best clothes were obviously the best and therefore everyone wore them. The difference in 1 or 2 levels instnatly made the higher level win, as well, which annoyed the lower levels. Oh, and don't forget the constant bugs with interlock and multi-on-one combat. With enough people in combat, you end up with 2 minutes between rolls.

And guess what? That's EXACTLY what CR 2.0 is here to fix. Hackers are no longer the uber-awesome class, stats are MUCH more important than clothes, lower-levels actually stand a chance, and combat is no longer multi-on-one and much MUCH more fluid. So *CENSORED* and pay attention.

What was asked for was a fix to the current system, not a new system, hundreds of threads suggested very clearly how it was possible. Clothes remain as important as ever and in fact for pvp will be more important...they have said there will be more variety of buffs but that was just as easy with the current system and nothing to do with cr2. It was asked for multi on one IL to be fixed, it was instead thrown away. I have NEVER seen a complaint that a lower level saw it a problem that those above them were more effective.
The promise of the original game was multi one one IL as a unique feature - its gone, the promise was a MMO where you would not have to specialise in a class multi LO's would make you totally versatile - thats been removed.
While I respect those that prefer the new system and confess it has many laudable features, it remains only reasonable that suitable consideration is given to those who will lose key features they really like here. And on the hacker front I would just as soon it were removed in total tbh. More importantly in an honest attempt to 'sell' CR2 to the many doubters the UI needs to be tackled.

LOL. I love this last-ditch argument. Nobody's been buying the BS so far and now it's time to drag out the snake-oil pitch. "CR 2.0 will fix everything! Meet girls! Make money fast! Grow new hair!"
Yeah, whatever.
