Good to see him. I thought I heard that he did not have an RSI in game a little while back in the 'Ask the devs an MxO question' thread? So this must be really new I guess.
Looking forward to see what part he will play from here onwards.

It's probably another one of those "Couldn't get Helmut Bakaitis's permission to use his likeness" situations :smileysad:
His clothes aren't really that bad, though. His suit is more of an off-white / ecru / light gray color anyway. Maybe lightening it just a little bit would make it look better.

If they made an avatar of the KFC guy I think it would be more accurate. I am a little too tight on issues like this and Ghost's avatar too. Will they be doing something like end of beta with the eyes of march or something for the aniversery.
#1030000247902/22/2006 21:16:58Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
the archvist is badass....i can't believe he's always by himself seriously he's the tightest program...but i hate him
If the architect was not trying to "balance the eqation", neo wouldn't be dead

It appears that we have rattle the correct cages. A so called program appears from a building that the interior has only been seen by six men.
Are your fragments vibrating from the shivering excellaration of your stream?
Do you feel the zeros and ones on the back of your neck standing in frailty Mr. Architect?
We have found what is needed and his signiture shall be returned in due time. You only make your entrance when the time is late Mr. Architect.

Just NEEDS to be whiter, younger i spose i could deal with but as is his model is spitting all over the matrix films symbolism. He just needs to be whiter, end of.

Then, how about this gentleman?
"No, YOU won't let it! I'm the one doing the talking, okay? Mouth shut, ears open! Ergo! Vis-a-vis! Concordantly!"
#1030000248302/23/2006 00:56:12Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
Now there is a program that I would love to sit down with and have a good long discussion on the nature and very structure of the Matrix. The insight and knowledge he would have... oooooo that would be a very interesting discussion indeed.

The architect has been involved in the storyline before, but I don't know whether he's ever actually made an appearance in game or not
#1030000248602/23/2006 01:38:10Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
He spoke in-game only once, but he was never actually "in-game"... the message was received via system messages (source: MxO Archive):
Greetings, humans.
I am the Architect. I created the Matrix.
You are undoubtedly confounded by my decision to establish this communication.
Do not let this perplexity divert you from following the instructions I am about to reveal.
Since the aborted reinsertion of the prime program, there have been an objectionable quantity of anomalies.
Even after accounting for the fluctuations due to human rejection of the simulation, there remains an unaccounted for and increasingly high number of these anomalies.
This is, of course, unacceptable - and great pains have been taken to rectify the condition.
Despite the historical efficacy of these procedures, the current anomalies do not correspond with our existing indexing methodologies and resist being quarantined.
I have therefore made a rather abhorrent and altogether regrettable decision.
Specifically, I am seeking your help.
The anomalies in question seem to bear a more than superficial resemblance to the integral anomaly.
To be more explicit, they share qualities with aspects of the one you call Neo.
Why this should be so is irrelevant. What matters is that you assist in revealing the meaning of these anomalies.
Although it is with great disinclination that I reveal this information, I believe that it may assist your impulsive and disorderly thought processes.
Upon supplementary analysis of the anomalies, the following error was returned, ad nauseam.
"?????"
I genuinely doubt that you will present us with data of any consequence; however, alternative contingencies have been all but exhausted.
It is improbable that we will speak again.
#1030000248702/23/2006 02:36:33Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
Maybe it's just me, but I find that RSI of the Architect to be a huge disappointment (even more so than the baldness of Ghost). Sure there's the old "can't get the rights to their likeness" spiel, but that doesn't affect clothes or age - although I guess the in game character models are hindered in that fact. Still, very disappointing as far as I am concerned (angle and quality of the image doesn't help either).
#1030000248802/23/2006 02:41:43Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
I remember Rarebit saying that they can only take existing character models and tweak the colors of them... anything more would require a new character model made by the art team. Honestly, with a character as huge as the Architect, the art team really should've gotten involved with this one.
My guess is that Chadwick never intended the Architect to be included in his storyline, so that might have something to do with not having the art team create a model for him... just a guess.
#1030000248902/23/2006 05:22:24Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
I agree, Fenshire.
I mean this guy only CREATED the Matrix for goodness sakes! Let's dump a whole lot of time and effort into a combat revamp, but to hell with art/story!
Wake up. The people who actually immerse themselves into this game could give a rat's *CENSORED* about combat.
GIMME STORY, GIMME SUBSTANCE, GIMME ACCURATE DIGITIZATION OF THE CHARACTERS!
PS> Good to see the head honcho ingame though.

#1030000249102/23/2006 09:43:43Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
I completely agree with ya chuui, actually a huge dissapointment.
If it turely is one of rarebits hash ups (no offence man, u know what i mean) then i would be hugely dissapointed. Its the architect for flegs sake! if art cant get involved with the guy who created the matrix then i have serious worries.

They did a great job on Morpheus tho... (not soe)

(He will be machine aligned right?)
#1030000249402/23/2006 10:55:21Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
I'm disappointed in the choice of waistcoat. Stylish an' all, but not appropriate.
I hope that when/if we see him, he'll be level 1000 - seriously. He's the god of the Matrix, for pity's sake, and should be stronger than the Ones (who in turn should be stronger than the level 255 Agents). No one should be able to touch him.
Of course, he wouldn't fight; no one would even be able to attack him or get him in interlock. I don't see him stooping to our level.
(Yes, I'm sure the super Agents are level 255 for a reason: ie that's the technical limit. )

One of the things I am sick of seeing here (and I'm sure the Devs are too) is bitching, moaning and complaining about gifts that they give us. Nobody HAD to post that picture. Nobody HAD to make it discussable in the forums, much less devote an entire thread to it. If you don't have something nice to say, keep your damm mouth shut.
I, for one, love the model. He looks appropriately... angelic... not to mention large and in charge.
#1030000249802/23/2006 12:29:06Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
Don't be so naive to think that "discussion" means everything is happy-go-lucky and positive.
We're expressing valid reasons why we dislike what we've seen. My apologies if they contrast to your more positive thoughts on the matter being discussed. There's nothing I can do about that. But I can definitely say I won't demand that YOU shut up because of it.
I'm personally glad that you and others like it. However, I don't and I shouldn't be told I can't object to something that beckons my opinion.
Good day, sir/ma'am.

Don't know if anyone's taken the time to notice, but Niobe is modeled after Cas, also known as Gina Torres. Her face structure, and voice is played by this woman.

And just to add, she's married to our loveable Morpheus in real life aka Laurence Fishburne.

Well it would be neat if he was older looking but this is cool!! I did not think we would ever see the Architect again

No offense, but we're all paying customers. If I went into a restaurant and ordered a salad, and they put anchovies on it, then I'm going to complain. I don't like anchovies. Sure, they didn't have to put anchovies on there... but that doesn't stop the fact that they did, and I that I don't like them.
That being said, this is a product that we have purchased. A product that a lot of us have spent over $200 on. If we're not satisfied with that product, then as consumers, we have every right to voice our opinion about it.
#1030000250302/23/2006 13:48:10Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
The game is the product, the forum and site isn't part of what you are paying for.
