You're saying that my game subscription doesn't give me the right to make a post on a site's forum in regards to a discussion about something ingame that I'm subscribed too?
#10300002505 02/23/2006 14:07:58 Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
No, I'm saying we aren't paying for them to put up that picture of the Architect.

As Walrus has said numerous times, the forums are here for discussion, for us to give our opinions and viewpoints, our likes as dislikes, our feedback.

Thus if people are unhappy with the archi model they are entitled to, and encouraged, to say something. Bad things never get changed if no1 says anything.

SilentW does have a point, though, to a degree.

What I should have done in my previous post was mention my dislike for the model's waistcoat, but still thank the Devs responsible for even bothering to create the model in the first place - something they were not required to do. Personally, I'm thankful that they see fit to include the Architect in the game to some degree, despite Paul Chadwick not having written him in.

Yeah, the Devs got it wrong - everyone's allowed their viewpoint and can say so. We should still be grateful for the effort.

Sykin says:

"Needs more customization.

This is the Architect we're talking about. One of the greatest science fiction characters in a long time. It's rather sad that I, if I could that is, could jack-in right now and make a new character who looks exactly like the Architect's 'Avatar'.

However, maybe we're missing the point entirely. Perhaps this isn't the Architect but more like his own little bodyguard program...?

But if that is supposed to be the Architect... Meh..."

I was talking about this, not about the opinions and everything:

That being said, this is a product that we have purchased.  A product that a lot of us have spent over $200 on.  If we're not satisfied with that product, then as consumers, we have every right to voice our opinion about it.

#10300002512 02/23/2006 16:39:33 Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
In all honesty, do you guys really think that the Architect would want to look the same? The whole Matrix basically crashed when Smith took a huge dump on it, so *CENSORED* would he want to stay the same for? I say, LET THE MAN LOOK YOUNG!!!!!! Even look like us, he doesn't want to ruin the simulation now does he? (ps i think the Kid RSI looks like kaka)

If his hair was more white and less Silver than I would let it go.

If the aborted reinsertion of the prime program changed the Oracle, why wouldn't it also change the  Architect? In the Architects own words, "If she is the mother, I am the father...." he puts himself on the same level and intimates a very close relationship with the Oracle.

This is science fiction...be flexible and think why it may be as well as whether you like it or not.

The changes are similar. Both look younger and have lost weight to varying degrees.

I really need to have a talk with this guy about the functional design of the buildings throughout Megacity. Worst architecture I have ever seen.....47 rooms on a floor and the only way to get to the last room in the corner is to go through 86 doors. You know what a catastrophe that will be in an emergency evacuation?

Now if he could just bake a good cookie...but I think he's more of a vodka shooter kinda guy...

And the reason he may look a bit younger is maybe the game makes him look younger they cant exactly get it all to work out and like i said it was the side of his face so he still looks old you never know if you see him in person he may look like the moviehe looks fine to me and aslong as he plays his part and is the same char who cares why cant you just enjoy it?

The Oracle didn't change because the reboot was aborted: she lost her shell because Rama-Kandra (sp?) made a deal with the Merovingian which allowed him to destroy her previous shell. (Come to think of it, I'm not sure how. Did Rama-Kandra have a pseudo-killcode or something for the Oracle?)
#10300002544 02/24/2006 02:36:44 Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005
Rama Khandra and his wife gave the Merovingian the Oracle's deletion codes in exchange for getting Sati into the Matrix.  Rama Khandra probably had access to them since he was the Recycling Plant Manager.

Yup, the reset didnt change the Oracle and i somehow doubt the Architect just lost his shell or anyone had the access codes.
#10300002553 02/24/2006 08:55:07 Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005

Bottom line is, imo, its the god dam architect! The maker of the matrix! the biggest machine program ever ffs! If they cant put effort into making him an indivisual RSI then i lose all hope in the story and have no intention of showing my gratitude for them basically killing everything about such an important character.

Might as well have made Niobe a fat chinese man with an afro and hot pants.

Architect is hawt
#10300002559 02/24/2006 14:03:42 Re: Image Retrieval - Wednesday, February 22, 2005

You're right Procurator, the Oracle changed before the reset and we did see the Architect after the reset and he looked the same. I stand corrected and Cloud, I look forward to your 'I'm leaving' post since your incompetent god has been intolerably violated.

Would have been better if they just kept him in the closet. Can't possibly bring any good to the storyline having him in game looking like that....after all, looks are everything, content is completely secondary.

I aint leaving for *CENSORED*, you all know this. But its just ya know, pissing all over the whakoski (fleg knows how its spelt) vision, the symbolism people! Will some1 think of the symbolism!

I'm all for the story here, but not just the physical story, the matrix films captivated me bcos of the deep connetations behind them, to change the architect so radically is disregarding everything the movies worked to establish.

Given who the Architect is, he can probably look however he wants to!

Chill out, the picture is sort of a crappy picture because he's in the shade and at a weird angle. I guess i'd wait to see more pictures..

And then I'd read Rarebit's explanations of the model .
