Death of the Destroyer: Who got a piece of the Assassin?

i landed about 5-6 blows to Trash Boi but that crush move that freggin crush move did like 20,000 damage or somethnigs aroung there but yea im proud that i jacked that fool up pretty good...

I got several shots in on him on saturday, on syntax, but the location I staked out all day on sunday (the church in mannsen) wasn't a place he came to for some reason ... *shrug* Oh well. Such is life eh? :smileywink:

I'm proud to say I was a member of the gang who cornered the Assassin
in the abandoned subway in Rogers Way, on Saturday. Managed to score
several hits.



I'm also even more proud to say I was consistently a thorn in his side
during the final battle with the Assassin that was present in Midian
park; where I had held a rally only hours earlier in the adjacent park.

While I have no screenies, I was chasing him around Midian Park near
Club Avalon and hitting him with my Flit Gun as often as I could
between reconstructs after he killed me.  It was interesting.

I only managed to hit him about 6 times.  I had one of those
insecticide codes left over from the corrupter event.  Tried that
out on him....did the same as the flit gun.

For some reason, my lag wasnt as bad, compared to many of the other MXO people, so I was able to pretty much stay on top of the assassin, I was hitting him ALOT with the flit gun.

I was pleased to do as well as I did being only lvl 21, but I got many hits.

On Vector I was lucky I got him lots of times, but he killed when we got him almost down.

I believe this aspect of the Assassin was killed in Eshean just over the wall from club Avalon. I was there for a moment, got another hit on him and then got totally wasted, almost died, barely got away. When I came back he was down real low and then he was dead. Didn't get a screenie there. Too much lag...

Hunted him down at the Sobra Shores subway station on Syntax, and followed in the mad chase after him that ensued...heh. I managed to blast him a few times with the Flit Gun. Definitely had alot of fun.

Sobra on Syntax too.  Got a few shots in, but it was hard to find him with the sea of bodies.  I miss /addwaypoint.

I dont have any screenshots, I was DJing on Awakened Radio during the event.  I was able to get 2 shots off from my flit gun before being turned into a pile of flesh

The Assassin at Midan Park tasted my vengence

I almost landed the final blow in Uriah on Syntax, but Omega beat me to it lol. Still congratulation Omega.

Of course for some reason after Assassin killed me a previous time when I came back I had the health bug so I just stood there and kept hitting him. He finally got mad at me at singled me out but couldn't kill me lol. It's kind of funny using one of there bugs against them

I had been staking out Uriah Wharf most of the day, when the Assassin eventually showed. The battle went from near the water's edge, to near the hardline, to the rooftops of the warehouses. We had him down extremely low on health:







...when he unleashed his lightning from the sky once again, that wiped out a good 3/4 of the people surrounding him. At that point those who were left chipped down his remaining life force and killed him.

In general, I had a great time. This event was pure fun. I will not
speak on the matters pertaining to the mask, or problems and
complications to the Live Event, as I certainly do have my share
-  those comments are held for another forum thread. However,
under this thread:



I had a blast. As a member of 2, perhaps 3 alliance of teams, we worked
our butts-off to assassinate the Assassin - pun intended. My thanks to
CyberAvatar, Sharrakor, NewAcension, Mpminoc, Biffy and others who were
members of our multiple teams. Urial Wharfs was the best place for the
event, with one only moment of intense lag we succeeded in destroying
the Assassin, with the award of the mask to our member Mpminoc -
congratulations.



My thanks as well to the other players who stood in combat to my side.
A number of us - myself, CyberAvatar, Garutachi (sp), Mpminoc and many
others, were glued to the Assassin for the bulk of the engagement. A
**bleep** fine fight.



Everyone on the Urial Wharf did their fair share of pwnz'ing the Assassin. Awesome work.



Congratulations to the three factions in attandance.

I dont have any screenshots, but I do know me and my faction were killing the assassin in Uriah. pulled him down from half health to less that a 5th, and only members of Zion Illuminati were hitting him for about 3 minutes till he killed us all and ran off.

and if u look up 2 posts (shinpseudo's post), u can see me, Enticer (on the left side), in the pic, standing there, attacking the assassin

I was one of the lucky ones to get an Assassin's Mask on the Vector server.  It was the Assassin in Midean by Club Avalon which I got in the final blow.  Just want to say thanks to all that participated in the event; the build up was fun for me and I hope to see that many people on whenever the next one occurs!

He was only able to kill me once while I pumped him full of raid!

I got a peice of *CENSORED*....assin in Midian Park on Recursion.  I hit him probably 20 times total before the disconnection/lag issue and Character  In Use forced me to stop playing in the event.

I got in 2 or 3 shots on him in sobra on recursion before getting myself killed and I wasn't able to catch up to him after that.  Forgot to take any screens was a bit occupied trying to hurt the assassin and not get myself killed :smileywink:

down. My sunday  schedule meant I couldn't really do anything to
him

Today we fought the Assassin.

I joined in the fight in Uriah shortly after the Assassin showed up. We played tag among the containers for a while...

...then the Assassin hyper-jumped out of the fray and onto a nearby rooftop. I was right on his heels and we went 1-on-1 with him for a few seconds (the **bleep** [the "**bleep**" stands for "illegitimate son" :smileyvery-happy:] hit hard; I consider myself lucky to have survived the encounter). Fortunately, Enon (also a True Mind, but from another ship) was soon at my side and before long the fight flared high again all around us...

...and we fought and the Assassin ran away. We cought up with him and he ran again.  Unfortunately, I lost sight of him shortly before his final defeat, and thus was denied the pleasure of delivering the final burst of "Green Fire" or at least witnessing his demise.

Shortly after the Assassin's destruction Niobe summoned us to a meeting. Unfortunately, the load on the Matrix in that sector was too high from all the Redpill activity and my emergency jack-out circuits kicked in. When the uplink stabilised at last and I was able to jack back in I was told by other Redpills they experienced the same thing. I haven't been able to find out what Niobe had to say.

Note to self: Ask my Operator to provide visual cues to my target's relative direction in the future.

Aah I was so close. But well I still got a CQ point

Over on Recursion, our faction (The Business) was staking out The
Church of the Disciples in Mannsen Park.  The Assassin showed up
and we started attacking.  I got about 10 hits while he was under
the overpass, then he let loose with his lightning attacks and killed
me.  Luckily, a faction mate rezzed me, and I rejoined the
battle.  He gave a bunch of guys the slip and ran to the other
side of the church and up on the catwalk over the road.  I
followed him up there along with 4 or 5 other players and got a few
more hits in before he killed me again.  He ran back down the
catwalk, pushing my body along in front of him until he finally got
around me.  I reconstructed since most of our faction was
down.



 With many hardlines in the area down, it took a while to
find one that worked.  I jacked in at Stamos Central and made my
way back to the church, but by the time I got back there, the battle
was over and my faction had moved on to Midian Park where they were
engaging him again.  Unfortunately, as I was heading for a
hardline to join them, I crashed.  I sat through the "Charcter is
already in use" for a few minutes, and when I got back in I made my way
to the nearest hardline.



Midian West was up, so I came back in
there and ran to the park.  Before I left the hardline, I switched
loadouts to Doctor, since it seemed it didn't matter what your loadout
was, the flit gun dealt the same amount of damage, and I figured I
could help rez some people.  Once I got there, I landed a few more
hits, and then everybody timed out.



Sat through the "Charcter is
already in use" again, and managed to get back in, land a couple more
shots, and crashed.  Sat through the "Character is already in
use".  Got back in again, but the battle in Midian Park was over
and it was now in Eshean Projects or somewhere, but I never got the chance
to join them because I crashed and once again sat through the
"Character is already in use", then got to the "Negotiating with
servers" and timed out about a minute later.  Sat through the
"Character is already in use" AGAIN, got to the "Negotiating with
servers" and timed out again.  Sat through the "Character is
already in use" ONCE MORE, and finally got back in just as Tyndall
announced that Niobe wanted to see us, made it there, logged the speech
because none of my faction mates made it there in time, and the area
crashed.



Got back in, was missing my faction tag, but a quick
/jackout and all was better.  Then we took care of faction
business, reformed our faction with our new leader (01001011), and that
was the end of my night.

yeah, i got several blows on the assassin, it was fun chasing him all around the church of deciples in manseen, i did a few hundred damage to him before the whole server lagged out, we all got booted, then when i was able to get back on, along with everyone else in manseen on the recursion server, no one was able to see the assassin that was standing right next to them getting his final blows from the ones who were lucky enough to not have lagged out, it just doesnt seem fair to the rest, btu atleast a machinist got the mask, which is was our main goal in the first place, but besides that it was fun, i did1-200 damage to him at 10pts damage each blow, but we did it, all  the assassins got killed, heres a pic of me and a whole group dead from his electrify attack, that guy killed me in 2-3 blows everytime, i wouldve tooken more pics but i was so busy chasing him, landing blows and die'ing
