That's right, Comedy Central has ordered 26 brand new episodes of our favorite Matt Groening cartoon set in the 31st century! Comedy Cental credits the sales of the DVDs and ratings of the shows to show that there's still sufficent following of this amazing show.
I'm very pleased with this news.
Didn't they say this before, and all we got was Futurama movies broken down into episodes?
Looking forward to it. It's not something I ever watch consistently by knowing when it's on, but if I flip by Comedy Central, I always watch.

I think the straight-to-DVD movies were intended to be movies from the start, but Comedy Central broke them up into 4 episodes each. From what I get from the article these will be 26 seperate episodes.
Oh, thank the merciful comedians, I've been wanting this so bad, and not been very hopeful considering they never actuallly showed the Futurama movies on Comedy Central more than the premier and one marathon.

nice, it's about time they brought this back.
Although they may want to improve on theri animation standard's , a friend comented that the early serie's of futurama had far better animation than the current "movies"
