You guys are Gods among men.

Thanks for this

Finally had a chance to much around with this and, once again, I must say thank you.  I'll probably have to scale back some of the effects because the way the patches are set up causes me to lose some of my favourite stuff, but that's simply because the patches are so jam packed full of goodness that everyone will find something they like.

Bay, how can I get rid of the eyes in the sky and keep the red sky? I've tried changing the sky model but when I put the "no7thredder: 80 00 05 00 04" weather I keep seeing the eyes.

#36300565337 06/07/2009 18:48:39 Re:The Patch

Sorry, I went to Philly for the weekend and just got back. I replied to your PM before checking the thread, but I'll paste it here in case others want the same thing (how to reverse a change in the patch back to normal).

The no7thdayredder clouds.txa has been replaced with an eyes texture in the rezmap; the ids are noted in rezids.txt.

05050004 No7thdayredder Clouds / 680B004C Many Eyes

So if you have a backup copy of rezmap.ltb, replace the patch file's 34-byte seqence after the hex 0505000401 with the 34-byte sequence found in the backup copy (there can be many occurences of a reversed rezid in the rezmap, albeit rarely, and the correct ones always have the next digit 01). This is covered in the rezmap portion of the guide.

Few things I noticed.
Female Sleepwalkers still look normal, not the Fan Faire jeans. Also the female gasmask -> assassin mask doesn't look right either, like its off.

Ok. I got it. Thanks Bay.

Should we expect an updated version of the patch soon? ^^

EDIT= Can you add the Awakening Glasses and Jacket? SMILEY

BTW the Twin rsi mod has them wearing the purple goggles since their base sunglasses are apparently Void shades.  (Also I actually use void shades as casual sunglasses so now I dont have any good sunglasses to wear).  Maybe that mod can be switched to another model of sunglasses easily obtained at any vendor.  Just a suggestion.

That happened to the Sonny/Smithling model.

Had some time to play around with the Patch and am greatly enjoying it.. although the 1.2 version just adds far too many overdone effects and whatnot to combat for my tastes.  What I would personally really like is an update to the 1.1 patch that would swap the wings to something other than the earpiece.. I <3 my earpiece and would much rather the wings be a replacement for something easily available that no one actually wears, like a baseball cap.

#36300565450 06/08/2009 08:53:02 Re:The Patch

Yeah, the void shades swap perhaps shouldn't have been done. You can easily turn it off using the same way I described how to turn off eyes in the sky, or any other swap for that matter.

I just had an intense vacation weekend and am still recovering, so no updates are on the horizon from my end. Dunno about Mathalos, he's probably off dancing in Free Realms. I spent about 6 hours before I spent a few days making the patch/FX swaps just going through the rezlist and trying to find anything and everything I deemed worthy of inclusion. So there's not really anything that I would have liked to include but didn't, or that I feel was missing. I made The Guide to avoid having to make 34242 patch versions based on requests, so I feel like I've done my part and that if people have a few changes they want to make on their own they should reference the document. It's literally just:

1) Find rezid for what you want, ie this is a made up example

04081122 # "resource/blah/agentgray.moa" # # #

2) Split rezid into bytes and reverse them, 04 08 11 22 to 22110804.

3) Search rezmap.ltb for 2211080401

4) Copy the 34-byte sequence starting with 01, paste that into a new document

5) Do steps 1-3 for the item you want to replace

6) Paste the copied 34 bytes into the new rezid's 34 bytes and save.

All the changes' reversed rezids are included in the patch as a textfile, so reversing changes takes literally no time if you have a backed up rezmap.ltb.

... ftw? ... dunno what else to say O_O

#36300565462 06/08/2009 10:00:46 Re:The Patch

I can't seem to find the rezid for Area K. And it's not in the txt. Do you have a complete RezIDs.txt for MxO to upload for us?

#36300565466 06/08/2009 10:12:02 Re:The Patch

Like was explained in the Guide, the full rezid list is packmap_save.lta, which you get from station launcher. You need to do a little digging sometimes. For example, Ookami = Ookama, Effy = Travel Agent, Gerneral, phone booth not HL, etc.

resource/characters/shared/textures/Coat/ is a good place to be looking, since the geometry was left the same I believe.

In which case you'll find:

04000FB5 00020200 "resource/characters/shared/textures/Coat/omegafcoat.txa" "packmaps/char_shared_c.pkb" 01E67670 00055526
04000FB6 00020200 "resource/characters/shared/textures/Coat/omegamcoat.txa" "packmaps/char_shared_c.pkb" 01F120BC 00055526
04000FB7 00020200 "resource/characters/shared/textures/Coat/omegafcoat_bump.txa" "packmaps/char_shared_c.pkb" 01EBCB96 00055526

Um ... they deleted the other thread? Baya, can you send me either the how-to for the trojan hacker info or a screenshot of it? I'm curious.

#36300565469 06/08/2009 10:20:22 Re:The Patch

http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...741#36300559760 Still there, just been a lot of activity in General Discussion, GodGiver. If you download the guide, it has a section on hotbar hex, and also has a list of some hotbar hex codes included. To use it, make a hotbar on preferably a new char without anything on the other hotbars, and put cheapshot on slots 1-10. Then go into cui.cfg and you'll see the cheapshot hex 10 times. Swap em out.

#36300565470 06/08/2009 10:28:24 Re:The Patch

Ah, thanks =P

Edit: Well holy moly, 100 - 420 D.P.S. Either the attack sucked or it did epic damage. Damage conversion abs. Quite the gamble that tree. I love it. Wished it'd been done =/

#36300565811 06/09/2009 23:16 Re:The Patch

Ok after still hearing and seeing people say they dont understand how to put in "The Patch" here is how. If you still cant do it. Other than you dont want to. Step away from the computer please. I hate to see how messy your harddrive is. All the other talk of numbers is to swap out different skins/colors/items/hacking combat etc. You dont need to know this to install patch

"Just replace the rezmap.ltb in your main folder with the one in the patch, and the fx.pkb in your packmaps folder with the one in the patch"

I dont see how this confuses people to be honest. Just make sure you swap them out instead of overwriting for a easy revert. Or you can use station launcher to repatch whicheer is easiest for you.  If you want to go into detail i suggest reading this http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...741#36300559760

Basing on the fact you already have the rar file unzipped ( if not winrar.com is the place to go)

Just go to your Sony folder > MxO > replace rezmap file > then go to the packmaps folder > replace fx file  TADAH!!!

To replace the district files (changes skys, etc) the files labeled .metr from version 2 (this is a little trickier)

Sony > MxO > Resource > Worlds > final-world > replace slums > go into the DT/Int folders and replace those
