Any hope the game will resurface one day?

...just thought I'd ask...

   Personally, I think anything is possible.  It's all a matter of probability, and that probability is not constant.

   I think it's entirely possible that sometime in the future, there may be something similar to the Wii Virtual Console that will allow people to play old MMOs.  Keep in mind that SOE and WB is going to hold onto the data and code of the game.

   Sadly, none of us know the future, so we don't know when (or even if) this will happen.  But I prefer to keep an open mind.

There's always Hope. Even if it seems unlikely right now I will always be looking.

The next time this game will resurface is when they are throwing out the servers and someone accidentaly presses the power button.  Someone might have the launcher open you never know

If Wachowski brothers release another Matrix movie, this game will surely be back.

Is there any way to still be able to jack into the city, even if it is not online or whatever and is just me? I would still love to be able to visit places in Mega City I don't want to say goodbye to them forever and have only pictures and movies

You know what's amusing? I was making a sandwich and thought the exact same thing. I also thought that everyone should write to them, saying it's closed, and they shoudl get their arse in gear to produce another film JUST so we can keep playing! :p

   This makes me curious about what people who have worked on this game think of the news.  I've seen Rarebit's reaction on the forum of his webcomic, but what about Paul Chadwick, the Monolith devs, the old LET, HCFrog, the Wachowskis, etc.?

   I'm going to keep an eye on Brannon Boren's livejournal to see if he makes any comment.  He wrote a lot of stories in MxO (if you need any proof that he was a dev, click on "Brannon's CV" towards the top and scroll down to "January 2004 --- February 2005).  I feel sorry for people like Boren and Rarebit who have written missions for the game.

I say we go to SOE and steal their servers. Give MXO to the ones whom deserve it. The ones who built it. Us.

Coming back of old movie series is not unusual. Indiana Jones has come back after 19 years. Also, there was a blank Star wars' 3rd movie and 4th one.
However, the best way is some other company purchases the license of the game itself.
