Of course. I much rather hear it from the producer himself and put closure to it. I mean less than 24 hours ago people were still asking for developers eventhough the game couldn't earn enough to bring in one part time.

I can't believe the end is coming.  This was my first MMO.  I remember beta, the rocky early weeks after launch, and a ton of memories since.  I haven't been on in a while, but re-subbed for the finale.

I was in MxO at launch and I've been on-again-off-again in recent years, but I never lost my interest in the continuing storyline and vibrant community.  Even if I don't recognize every name in MegaCity like I did in the old days, I still like to think I'm a part of this universe and I will always treasure the opportunity to participate in the storyline of The Matrix.

That's stupid man, you can't do anything. It's their property, they can do what they want. You were paying for each month of service, and that's what you got each month so you can't sue for a refund. The best you could have done was stop subscribing, which you should have done.

The one thing i think that is fooked up though, while half the population left, RareBit actually made content in the game. I donno what people done in CR1 and early stages of CR2 apart from PvP/RP. So i hit 50, heard of PB and Area K (lol fook farming, pvp ftw. Yes took me over a year to get all items.) but next thing theres like nearly every update has some sort of content (when half the game has left.) Feels just like so much wasted time on Rare's behalf. He had been trying and now all that is for nothing.

It was a big mistake cutting LE's and the story, that was what drove this game but SoE wasn't for helping out Rare, instead putting more pressure on him (i.e. ripping away his staff) I never even paid attention to the story and would only catch a LE every couple of month or so (be it our one or standing waiting on reds coming out he he) So i never missed anything but i suppose alot did. The game didn't change for me at all, except the population.

Also, eh XP and Info etc is suppose to be going up.. Why the f*ck could that not have happened every so often years ago??? Nothing much put into the game, alot ripped out. What do SoE expect to happen with the population..

Meh gonna miss yas all but most of all, i'm gonna miss MxO. Interlock and hyperjumping is what made me start playing. Finally hit 50 and fooking loved it, shame that its all gonna be gone soon. Awell, back to getting wrecked 5 days a week then he he

Wow.. How unfortunate am I that I decided to end my sub to concentrate on my exams for the first time in many years of playing and then when I sub back I don't even get station access or anything. TCG is there money maker. A slotmachine that randomly gives out uber in-game loot at the cost of 3 dollers a spin.

Thats why im so ticked off. All the SOE games are getting TCG.

Oh yeah and how much does it cost to run a server? 20-30 dollers a month in power? No more updates after june 1st. When was the last update? lith did more with this game then SOE would of. But enough, I never post cuz of the flames and it seems 4 years have done nothing to improve the flaming so im done and not looking back on this forum.

Youre right about the TCGing of SOE games.  I just think its a wee bit improbable that Lith would take it back.

Though I'd feel much better having the game at Monolith, let's not foreget that they're the one's who released the game in pre-production.

Yes Monolith was the best was MxO had.

I didnt really understand why WBIE solds the rights to SOE.
The Game runs more as good at Lith, and i think WBIE expectes more.

But SOE did the advantages like with CR2.

I dont think Lith will take it back, or an another company is interested in the game.

But : What i really really dont understand , SOE had do several ways with the game.
Why dont try to make a "item shop" game with Mxo? Means more players are playing and maybe a better chance to make money with the game.

It was so a great game ..and now its dead ... i dont want to left the matrix forever....

SOE only bought MXO so they could get the rights for DC in a package deal, they never cared or wanted MXO. Which is why they raped it of all that was good about it.

Yes, i heard this from a friend and from the article at gamestop; im not very happy atm. This is the second time SOE screwed one of my favorite MMO games.

But it was very fun playing this game, i really had good times here at MxO 3 years for CR1 & CR2, ill be with you till the end my friends.

None of you know who I am.  I played the game near the beginning, for a good amount of time, but left when many of the people within my group left as well. (coincidence that it was about when Sony took over?)

Still, the closing of MxO breaks my heart a little bit.  Never in all my years of gaming have I met people that made a game what it is.  I always heard people talk about "The community makes the game."  But until I made my character, Scelte, I never understood it.  I felt a part of something big while I was here.  With the in-game events, actually having a conversation with the Merovingian, and parties at Sphinx...just wow.  This game was something else.

I would jack in for hours and do nothing but interact with people.  I don't think anyone can disagree that the gameplay in and of itself got a little repetitive at times, but the people made it amazing.  Role-played Meetings between liasons of all factions made for tense, player-driven moments that made me really care about what was going on in the world.  I'll be logging in again in the closing days of this phenomena of gaming not to see what the game has become, but what the people that made this game have become. 

I could say all these mean things about Sony...but no.

Thank you players.  Thank you every creative, imaginative mind, for creating an experience that even after not logging in for a year, I remember fondly.  Every Role-Playing opportunity that has come since my time here has been compared to this.  I wager that it will be that way for a long time to come.
